Game your looking forward to the most

Post by Wildcat Ryan »

Which game or games on your teams 2011 schedule are you looking forward to the most?

For me, Weber's game against Southern Utah is the game Im looking forward to the most, its a game Wildcat and Thunderbird fans have been waiting for for 5 years and being the only 2 FCS teams in the state its a little suprising that they dont play more often, but all that will change when the T-Birds join Weber State in the Big Sky, goodbye Holy War, Hello Civil War.

Next Is Weber's home game vs MSU, the Bobcats bring in one heck of a great team and without a doubt are Weber's toughest home opponent.

Weber State. I hope the Griz run up the score and then some.

I'm looking forward to the games UD where gives discount tickets. :thumb:

There will be a lot more empty seats this year.

Eastern is a given . I'm really looking forward to a couple payback games in UC-Davis and NAU. Davis will be the first home game in the new expansion. The Griz game is always special but setting a new attendance record at Bobcat Stadium should be epic.

If GoHens is any indication, we're probably going to drop another 15+% of our already depleted season ticket base.

I'm still getting my tickets. In fact, I may see if I can upgrade over to Section D (from C). How cool would it be to get 50 yard-line tickets then they reverse the new donation policy due to the revolt?

To answer the question, I'm really looking forward to Navy. Should be a good one right out of the gate. So much better than a WCUPA opener.

Looking forward to beating MSU in Cheney again, remaining undefeated on the red, and starting another 7 year win streak. :coffee:

But that's not the most important game to me.

Order of excitement:

1. @ UW - EWU will be the first FCS team the Dawgs play, and with them breaking in a new starter at QB and the talent and experience we return, an upset is certainly attainable against our in-state big-brethren. Time to see who has the best team in the state.

2. vs. MSU - Gotta smack down the Cats again before they get too full of themselves. One loss to them for every 7 wins sounds about right. There's also the retribution factor... retribution for ducking out of the rematch. Embarrassing our conference by playing like little girls against an inferior team (NDSU) should not go unpunished. First home game of the year, and could decide the BSC title. Also, there's not gonna be any controversy when MSU receivers land out-of-bounds, now that we have turf instead of muddy grass. I still expect plenty of bitching when they suffer yet another tragic loss at the hands of the Eagles though. :thumb: Some things never change. :D

3. @ UM - EWU always plays the Griz tougher in Montana than in Cheney, last year being a pleasant exception. Their normally disenchanted fanbase should be chomping at the bit to reassert their self esteem in conference against the reigning National Champs. Should also return the favor to the teddies by setting a new attendance record in Eastern Washington's Grizzly Stadium. :coffee: :kisswink:

4. @ Cal Poly - I'd like some revenge for our last meeting in 2005 when the Stangs got the best of us. CP is on the road back to prominence, EWU will be on the road for the 6th time of the year after resting up during the bye. Should be an excellent gut-check game before the playoffs... for both teams. 8-)

5. vs. WSU - Payback for 2009 will be sweet.

6. @ USD - OOC games are fun. OOC wins are even better. ;)

7-11. Thanks for playing. :D

Griz at Tennessee. I think it'll be a lot closer than SEC douches think it will be. Plus, that homo analjelly is a Vols fan so I hope the Griz win.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but the FBS game, while being "big" isn't the game I'm looking forward to most this year. In the grand scheme of things it is a "meaningless" OOC that won't hurt us if it is an L.

1. vs Southern Illinois 10/22
-The only school in the MVFC I consider a rival. We've lost three in a row to these ugly fucking dogs. Time to put them back in their place.

2. @ North Dakota State 10/29
-Should be a damn good game. NDSU could be pretty strong this year, and we know UNI is the only game that matters for NDSU this year as we are 3-0 against them and have physically dominated them every single game.

3. @ Stephan F. Austin 9/10
-After handing them the game last season in the dome, and the way their players acted (their teams actions were well documented last season) I can't wait to kick the living shit out of them.

4. @ Iowa State 9/3
-This could be lower, but much like SFA we struggled to hold on to the ball against them last year and gave them the game. Out gained them by over 100 yards and allowed their defense to score more points that their offense.

5. @ Illinois State 11/19
-If ISUR has a decent defense this game *could* be for a conference title. 2 years ago ISU ended UNI's playoff hopes on the last week of the season in Normal.

6. @ South Dakota State 10/15
-Is this there Hobo day game again? Maybe this is bigger to me because I grew up an hour and a half from SDSU, but similar teams. Should be good.

7. vs Youngstown State 11/5
-10 in a row...yep. If you listen to Guin fans YSU should win a national title in the next 2 years though so anything could happen I guess.

8. vs Indiana State 10/8
-I didn't buy into them last year, and I'm not buying into them this year. Until they finish a season over .500 against D1 competition I won't care that much

9. vs. Western Illinois 9/24
-Last season WIU crush UNI, no excuses. UNI already won the conference and wasn't playing hard, but WIU still crushed UNI. Barr is gone and UNI will be playing for something here.

10. @ Missouri State 10/1
-The annual Terry Allen game. Terry has yet to beat his former school and struggles something fierce. I think this is his last season in Springfield.

11. vs Southern Utah 11/12
-Thanks for giving us our 5th home game....other than that, it will be nice to see you in the dome again....I guess.

SIU/uni should be a real barn burner this year. The teams return 32 starters (18 from uni, 14 from SIU) from last years game and will feature the league's top offense from last year vs. the league's top defense from last year. I might make this trip if I can get off work. Let me know where Cap'n has a bar tab.....

Can StonyBrook show improvement and stay with UTEP and Buffalo? Last year we led USF in the 1st quarter 14-7 before the roof fell in. Can we score on a C-USA and a MAC team ?
Home opener 9/17 against Brown always a tough one for us. Hope they stay on our schedule though- always a good matchup.
Homcoming 9/24 Lafayette comes to visit. Homecoming is always a blast.
11/19 Liberty comes to visit with Mr. Brown. This should be for all the marbles again.

1) University of Minnesota. I know they are no good and if the BISON win it wont mean a thing, just another BCS win over a Charter Big 10 team for The HERD, but so what? The NDSU BISON beat Charter Big 12 Member Kansas, Ball State, Central Michigan, The Gophers etc etc, and that didnt mean anything. NDSU is on a roll. 3 to 4 FCS national championships in the next 10 years, probably more.

2) UNI. Its essential The BISON shut the dumb fucks up. They are such braggarts. Besides the Captain has quit them in favor of the Gophers. If he is smart he will scalp those Bison @ Gophers tickets. They are at a huge premium.

3) Take your pick. SIU is probably plagued by injuries and fumbles, like always. When was the last time they beat an FBS team?

4) WIU. Great program great team.

After that take your pick. The MVFC is defined by the NDSU BISON. How they go so goes the conference.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Shut UNI up?

Hell, UNI's worst season in the conference the last 10 years is as good as UNI's best season in the MVFC.

UNI is doomed to the big demotion. It will be on the scale for all their true fans - the Capt'n has left for The Gophers - as moving the sun to the center of the solar system. NDSU joining the MVFC is like the discovery of the telescope was to the Catholic Church: End of an era.

Old Dominion plays at Delaware on 9/24. I don't expect a win but it will be the Monarchs' first conference football game after two years of being an FCS independent.

Have some confidence in your team. The Hens have to replace an excellent QB and a sizable portion of an excellent defense. We should be beatable if ODU is up to the task.

First of all it's YOU'RE - as in you are! (hey.... somebody had to say it)
I can't honestly say I'm enthused about the 2011 season at all yet. What the hell for? We aren't playing for anything, so what's the point? Nothing really matters other than seeing if the new staff can make an honest to God football team out of the mess that was 2010.
We open with what will likely be 2 ass kickings and head into a total OOC schedule that is actually mainly playing the SLC. 12 straight weeks of games that don't matter for shit. (hey, sounds like an FBS team)
