If This Happened in Philly...

Post by GannonFan »

Dodger fans beat and critically injure a Giants fan in the parking lot following the Dodgers win over the Giants last night. Can't even find the story on SI.com and other sites. Would've been national news and the posts here would've been numerous had this happened in another city. Imagine that.

That is because Philly is a cess-pool.

So these Phillies fans went to LA and beat up a Giants fan, just because the Giants beat the Phillies in the NLCS last year?

There was a cheese-steak convention in town....

BTW, my apologies for all the edits in my prior post. I found this story at every single sports website I went to, so I had to return back to my post and add the link. Again, my apologies for finding this story on the front page of every baseball news page I visited....

Well, Towson is within earshot of Philly, so what do you expect? You're lucky I don't throw batteries or empty bottles of vodka at you. :coffee:

While this type of incident is news worthy elsewhere, it is so common place in Philly, these incidents haven't been covered in Philly for over 30 years, as the Inquirer could not buy enough newsprint to report on them all...

Thanks Bandl, you've demonstrated the point perfectly. Without me prompting you, you never would've listed all those links. If it happened in Philly, I would've logged on this morning and you would've already done it. Thanks man! :thumb:

LA fans are the worst fans in sports.

When their baseball fans aren't arriving late or leaving early, they are assaulting fans of other teams.
They can't even support an NFL team.

If only the movie Volcano were fact based.

Actually it's probably getting enough play now because the Philly media is making sure that issues as heinous as the one's that occassionally happen in stadiums/arenas get mentioned. GF is right, typically if it's Philly it gets way too much national play.

When someone on here brings it up I know it's just to tweak us Philly fans. When someone in the national media brings it up I immediately know that reporter is lazy. Every city has it's share of knuckleheads, Philly is no worse than any other city.

As if Mets fans don't get beat down EVERY SINGLE TIME they go to Philly.

Rightfully so. New Yorkers are the lowest form of life on the planet and should be handled as such.
