The only golf tournament I'll watch wire to wire regardless of who's leading.  :thumb:

March Madness
Super Bowl
The Masters
UEFA Champions League final
Daytona 500

Damn good company to be in...

Unlike a lot of people now and days, I want to see Tiger be Tiger again...This would be a great weekend for that to start up again...But I don't have high hopes...

4 out of 5 aint bad.

I'd most definitely replace it with the Olympics. How many other times can swimming be exciting?

I dunno about that...I enjoy the golf majors, but I'm a very casual golf fan and I'll be the first one to tell you that as soon as Tiger wasn't in contention in the last handful of majors, I stopped paying attention. I'm willing to place my nads in a stapler that there are many of people out there who feel the same way (about Tiger, not my nads).

And replace Daytona with the World Cup and you've got a real nice list there. :thumb:

At least Hen was smart enough not to demand that the Stanley Cup Finals be put on the list.

Have to put Wimbledon above the US Open, although the viewing times are better for the latter.

Notice how high up the list you find the "BCS Championship Game"

Big time college football getting their asses kicked by basketball, NASCAR, golf, tennis, and the NFL.

Way to go NCAA/BCS

However, in the 18-34 age bracket, which is the one most advertisers covet, soccer was king. The Champions League final pulled a 5 share in that demographic compared with a 4 share for the baseball and the two hockey games (a share is the percentage of homes in that demographic that watched the game). Golf had a 1 share with us young folk.

For the week that ended Sunday, May 23, the match between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich finished fifth in the overall ratings, behind Fox Saturday Baseball (which was regional and was in primetime with the Mets and Yankees on the East Coast), the close-out game of the NHL’s Western Conference (Sunday) and Eastern Conference (Saturday) finals, and the final round of the Byron Nelson PGA Tour event.
So it was behind the Byron Nelson. The Byron Nelson.

I've never heard of Bryon Nelson or his event, so I won't laugh. But you're in that 60+ demographic...so did you watch it?

Pretty much my point. On the golf spectrum, the Byron Nelson is nothing, so you can imagine what it's like when you compare it to all sports.

The quote I posted was in reference to the 18-34 demographic, which is the one that matters most to advertisers, and also indicates the long-term trend in sports viewership. :coffee:
