I'm still fascinated with Malcolm X's story. You ever read his autobiography? Excellent writings & observations...

You might have liked the late model Malcolm, Alfie....before he was assasinated, he had come to realize that the devil isn't the white man alone, but the hypocritic powered-elite itself which isn't race-specific...this didn't jive with Black Muslim credo or all the world's ills being manufactured by whitey...one of the reasons fellow black muslims did the shooting...

EXACTLY...
Malcolm X was a complex individual
He became very dangerous to the "black movement" once he had his epiphany

Frankly I really enjoy the man - he was a spectacular human - that cannot be denied

Hey don't forget the role of the government they had just as much reason for wanting this man eliminated from planet Earth he went around to other countries saying this country doesn't practice what it preaches when it came to human &civil rights for its citizens.

Not many... but any
There's a difference "not many" would imply that you have read at last one book
where as "not any" would be more accurate for you

I am an admirer of the man, but I think he is invoked by many people who do not fully understand him.

I don't disagree and have no problem believing the government (or elements thereof) may have been involved if there is evidence supporting the charge. But was speaking with regards to who actually pulled the trigger, not necessarily who sanctioned the hit...

I think he was killed because he was threatening someone's gravy train.
