Re: NDSU Spring Ball is on!
I just wanna say that I love that every NDSU-related thread devolves into JBB's bitterness/delusions-of-grandeur over the EWU game. Always entertaining.

Re: NDSU Spring Ball is on!
I am a football prognosticator. If you dont take into consideration all the factors that unfold during a game you cant evaluate things correctly.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
Re: NDSU Spring Ball is on!
This is my typical reaction to JBB

Clenz has now unseated Slostang as the most intolerant person on this board. Calm down my friend. Its opinion vs opinion. Spy vs spy. dont take it personally. Have some fun with it. Study the houndawg, UAH and others. But if you have hostility this is the place to let it out. We will help you and take no offense. Give it your best bro. We are here to help.

The fact he didnt play the 4th qtr is chalked up to an NFL quality defense taking its toll on him. Thats why I dont think he makes it, but the Canadian league might need a guy like him.
JaBBer! Send me some of what you are smoking!
TJ didn't play in the 4th qtr. because he was totally gassed from running for three games worth of yardage in two-and-a-half quarters.

Re: NDSU Spring Ball is on!
Actually it was the punk safety from EWU acting like a little beyatch.
Sometimes to win a national championship you need a few breaks go your way, whether it be 9 and a half yards for a first down or something.
I will say the goalline fumble call was terrible, and the oline personal foul was called on the wrong guy. However, I feel better after watching espn the other day and they showed the Colorado - mizzu game when colorado got five plays on the goalline. that would suck.
TJ will get his shot, he has NFL speed. The big question is gonna be can he handle getting hit.

2 new video blogs up at Bison Media Blog.
http://bisonmedia.areavoices.com/2011/0 ... ment-35046" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Follow the link. Some cool flood video too.
Kolpack and Izo cover some of the main positions including wide receiver, running back, QB and defense.
They dont think Justin howard will be back. it looks like his suspension will evolve into dismissal. The freshman look good, Gepheart and Vraa.
They like the running back situation. DJ of course but they are high on Ojuri and dont forget Segers.
Brock Jensen is the #1 QB but Freshman Esley Thorton is pushing for #2.
Its a 2 part video. Just follow the links.

Some of you guys might also be interested in Bison Sports Live tomorrow at 9am central time:

This is a student run program (I think) and is well done. Some known posters over at BV will be conducting business and talking BISON Football. They are going to be talking about some of the positions and personnel. I think its a call-in too.

Re: NDSU Spring Ball is on!
Practice rolls on at the NDSU Football Conglomerates Practice Compound located on the campus of North Dakota State University. Practice has now moved on to full gear. The BISON are looking good. The Wide Receivers are showing they are going to be ready. Tevor Gebhart, Zach Vraa and Tevin Pittman are freshmen. Ryan Smith, a converted running back, and Cooper Wahlo Jr. are sophomores and Reed Duchscher is a junior. Warran Holloway the veteran of the bunch is on the sidelines with an injury.
Gebhart and Vraa appear to be the front runners. Both have speed and size. The group is well aware of the lack of experience but are determined to be productive as the BISON tool up for a run at the MVFC and of course the elusive National Title.
First scrimmage is Saturday, if I have my schedule correct.

Re: NDSU Spring Ball is on!
Talk from the lavish NDSU Football Practice Compound is all about Quarterback. Brock Jensen is the #1 guy and Dante Perez is working out with wide receivers so he appears to be out of the picture.
The rap on Jensen right now is the completion average. It is not high enough. The coaches want to see 60-65%. To keep things interesting the rumor is, the starting QB is not on campus. That means we have someone in the wings unknown to the public or its true freshman Carson Wentz who passed up SIU for NDSU (good choice if he wants a national title). On the other hand we are hearing from reliable sources its Ryan Stanford our new QB recruit from AZ, with the caveat: if the rumor is true that is.
We will have to wait and see.
With a strong running game and a defense that is uncovering new talent all the time - latest to emerge is Kyle Emanuel freshman D end who is now working with the first team - predictions of some BISON fans that a Freshman QB is the downfall can be discounted.
The idea NDSU cant make it with a freshman QB flies in the face of reality. It's nonsense. The BISON are simply too strong in other areas and clearly better than last year to buy into that.
We had problems at QB last season with a freshman at the helm but still got as far as the bill fette bowl in the quarter finals and beat Charter Big 12 member the Kansas Jayhawks, solidly knocking the stuffing out of them. Of course we were sharing the duties between Jose Mohler and Brock Jensen but both players are still there and both have another year of experience behind them.

Just picked up word that Preston Evans, LB extraordinaire for the Herd, broke a bone in his hand. He should be ready for fall practice. The bright side: Some of the younger guys are going to get a few more snaps.

Re: NDSU Spring Ball is on!
No practice today. I dont know if its the weather or what but there is a scrimmage scheduled for tomorrow morning.
NDSUs recruiting is sure making an impact. Last season there were a number of true freshman that made an impact and this year will be no different. The freshman will once again make significant contributions. We will see them contribute on the offensive line, receiving corps, D line, and d backs. Its a credit to a coaching staff headed up by Craig Bohl. They have an eye for talent and they present the program well winning most of the recruiting battles, often with FBS schools.
Having a coach that comes from one of the greatest football programs in college ball, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, has a lot to do with it.

Why aren't you posting this on the Bison board? Also, don't you have a law suit you need to worry about?

Re: NDSU Spring Ball is on!
This is appropriate here. Its a way to communicate NDSUs outlook to others interested in FCS football. Im surprised others arent relaying spring football reports from their schools. The forum is more related to FCS than any particular school so it is a good place to use as a clearing house for information around the country.

(EDIT NOTE: some duplication, pre screen)*
(EDIT NOTE: some duplication, pre screen)*
*As reported earlier, It's now official. This news has been released by The NDSU Central Football Command from the plush Football Headquarters deep under the stands at the prestigious Fabulous Fargo Dome on the campus of North Dakota State University:Sorry Bisonator, I must have you confused with someone else. Im not in Fargo either. I prepare my reports from press releases and phone in reports from other Bison fans. I was hoping to add you to that list. I try and stay on theme with local media.
These reports are important. After last years remarkable season, which started with the defeat of Big 12 Charter member, the Kansas Jayhawks, The BISON will be among the nations most watched FCS teams as they continue their ascent toward a MVFC title and of course the National Football Championship of the NCAA Division 1 FCS.
This seasons excitement will build to the third week. After two challenging home games the BISON will be in TCF stadium to meet Big 10 Charter Member, The Minnesota Golden Gophers, coached by former SIU head coach Jerry Kill. It has become a heated rivalry and tickets for this contest are already in short supply with prices topping $300 for choice seats.
If the BISON scrimmage today it will be outside. The Fabulous Fargo Dome is booked for another event. No practice today (Friday). I dont know if its the weather or what but there is a scrimmage scheduled for tomorrow morning.

Right now Fargo has 32 degrees with light winds and snow flurries. Conditions are expected to remain the same at least through noon. As far as we know the scrimmage was scheduled for 10:30. Humidity is high so it will be chilly. Dress warm if you plan on heading up to the luxurious practice facilities on campus at NDSU.
