My only point was to note that the market crash portended by this thread never materialized. That is all. Of course, I guess the Dow could drop 1,000 points a week for the next four weeks, but I'm guessing it won't.

The right shoulder failed to fully develop, though it did partially develop. The head and left shoulder did develop in a classic H&S pattern. You are a moron for not recognizing that -- and a lot of other reasons, as well.

By the way, the S&P 500 p/e ration is well above 20 right now. The last time I mentioned a high market p/e ratio, you laughed and the market tanked soon after.

If Congress doesn't extend the tax cuts, the capital gains rates go from 15 to 20% starting Jan 1.

Potential for a huge sell-off to lock those gains in at 15% come December 15th when options start expiring.

The only reason the market is as high as it is, is the money the large banks got from the Fed in return for their toxic assets has been used to buy equities. Just look at the P/E ratios. They are at unsustainable levels. Once the banks see the sucker money come in (as it is now), they'll simply sell off and leave Mr. Small Investor holding the bag. Fools and their money are always soon parted.
