You've been out of school way to long. There is a growing number of majors that it is nearly impossible to finish in 4 years unless one is taking 18 credits per semester along with a couple summer classes. Education majors, at a lot of schools, went from something like 140 or 150 credits needed to graduate up to about 160-170. That is an extra semester added on. Most education majors are also now required to do three placements in schools compared to the one or two that were required just a couple years ago.
And yet we're turning out the worst teachers we've ever turned out of our higher education system.

Nit picking here. 21-23 yr old seniors now - about 9 yrs/8 months since 9/11= 11, 12 or 13 years old on 9/11.
23 year old seniors need to learn how to finish in four years ;-)

my point being - you didn't see anyone with a living memory of life before 9-11 (more or less) dancing in the streets... while the late hour might account for some of it... i think it also speaks to how most people over the age of 25 reacted to it... a certain amount of happiness, perhaps a smile, a hug between loved ones... and a knowledge, gained in the last 10 years by many that we're fighting a Hydra, and in cutting off the head, while viscerally satisfying, will result in three more growing...
I'm 22...was in 8th grade when it happened...I was getting ready for work this morning, not dancing in the streets.. :coffee:

I was an education majors and switched out of it. They are requiring more classes, not more knowledge or skills. In fact the classes have gotten easier, and more often than not are a giant freaking joke. They don't teach teachers how to teach...wow say that five times fast...they teach them how to do paperwork required by the different government agencies involved, how to "deal with" problem children, etc... Basically every except how to be a good teacher.

Where were you doing your Education courses at? That is far from the program I am in. While I have come across a joke class here or there, 95% of them are beneficial and I feel like I have actually gotten something out of them. More so than the other majors I have been in.

24 years old, have had at least a semester in 4 different majors. ;)

Maybe it is because I have been in so long and came in 2006, but I have yet to see the course load go up. I'm still in college because I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do, not because they have added more hours required. Was in Education once, got talked out of it by family who were Educators, and then finally decided it was what I wanted to do. If I had stuck it through the first time, I probably would have been done in 4.5 years and that is only because I was at a Baptist school which required more Gen Ed classes with 4 extra Bible classes.

It isn't as simple as "We think we know where he is...BOMB IT"

The fact they have been trying to verify this information for 9 months tells you how much work has gone into this over the last 8 years or so.

I'll believe it when Obama says it.

The mouth area is very pixelated, the bridge of the nose doesn't match, and clearly doesn't fit with the rest of the photo.

The image on the left is an ALTERED version of a famous photo of bin Laden.

The White House has NOT released an official death photo of the corpse ... yet.

An official has told CNN ... REAL photographs of Osama's body exist ... which show a gunshot wound to the side of his head. The official says due to the wounds, bin Laden's face is "unrecognizable."

There's a shit load of pressure expended when a high velocity bullet traverses the brain. Even if the weapon was a .45 auto or a 9MM. Gonna do more than leave a mark.

the difference, i suspect... is having a CiC who is willing to be patient, let the facts develop, pull the string carefully, let the CIA do what it does best... and not get trigger happy and go off half cocked. the other difference appears to be Obama, Panetta, et. al's decision to not trust the Pakistanis with the intel... sort of tells us what we already knew about sieve that is the ISI in Pakistan.

I 100% believe Osama has been killed, but the WH should relase a GD photo. In July 2003 the Bush admin had released photographs of Saddam Hussein’s dead sons Uday and Qusay to prove they were dead-ay. And as I recall, one took a round (or schrapnel) in the head. Need to do the same thing here. RELEASE THE PHOTOS!
