Mountain West and the WAC are both terribly stratified. Need to take a couple from the WAC and trade them for a couple in the Mountain West then, then there is a real conference there.
The balance of the remnants could be called, The West Sky Conference and join FCS.

A very good idea. SJSU, Wyoming, Utah State, NM State to name a few would be perfect in FCS

True, but the Pac-10 is stratified too. Hell, if Utah State played UW, my money's on Utah State. The Pac-10 is really the Pac-6, then a LONG way down to the last 4.

What conference ISN'T stratified? There are mediocre teams and teams that flat out whomp in the Big 11, the Big 12, the Big East, the ACC, and the SEC. So that argument doesn't fly.
The only thing the B(C)$ conferences will look at is the money they'll lose if they take in another conference, and that will be enough for them to say no. Heck, they're so ECB that they'd dump the Pac-10 if they could get away with it.
We all know that Richmond was the real D-I national champions this year, anyway.
Forget about the "stratified" idea. I'd rather be 100% completely "Stratus-fied." LOL.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

History says you would lose your money!
Wyoming has won at least the last five games with Utah State, most by big scores. Also, I know for fact that Wyoming has never lost a game to Montana.
Does that make Wyoming good? Nope, but NDSU was ranked #1 when they played at Wyoming this year, one of the 'Pokes few wins.
