Fair enough. But they weren't around long enough to pay alimony to Bobby Cox's ex-wife. :coffee:

:D

What's really encouraging is that Lee and Hamels have both followed up stinkers with gems.

It's really hard to see this team losing three in a row at any point his season.

Four series. Four series victories. Not a lot to complain about.

I haven't been reading much this week. Any progress on Uts?
Let me be the first to congratulate you on the Phillies' FIRST 3-game losing streak of the season!

By the way, today's date is May 16, there are still 4 1/2 months left in the season.

The Braves most certainly did. Lost to the eventual champions in a series in which all games were decided by one run and without Prado and Chipper (but you already knew that because their absence was the only reason the failees ever caught the Braves).

Well, lucky for Braves fans, most never saw the Braves collapse in the postseason for all those years they made it. But you can be embarrassed for all those empty seats that had no other choice but to stay there and watch those postseason meltdowns. :thumb:

YOU SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED THAT YOU DIDN'T WIN A SINGLE ONE FOR 14 CONSECUTIVE YEARS.

Division banners are for playoff losers. You remember the World Series don't you? Braves haven't won a SINGLE ONE FOR 15 CONSECUTIVE YEARS.

Eh, it's the middle of May, school's still in session - not worth getting too worried about. Still so much baseball left ahead of us. I'm actually going to the game tonight, though, so hopefully they snap out of this. I'm in the lower level left field so hopefully they snap out of it with some dingers as well! :thumb:

On another note, has anyone ever noticed how dumb Ricky Bottalico comes across as? I don't think I've ever heard him make a point that wasn't already blatantly obvious. I can get more insight from my kids than I do from this guy.

And speaking of blantantly obvious, is it me or has Chris Wheeler approached a new level of annoying this year? The man never shuts up anymore, he's turned into Tim McCarver with a story for every situation. I'm actually turning off games now sometimes because I can't stand hearing his voice and I don't like watching it on mute.

It ain't you.

The guy grinds on a human.

Not only do we mourn Harry the K, we mourn the ascension of this no-talent ass-clown. Wheeler gone wild. :ohno:

After a few decades of listening to Whitie and Harry tell stories, this guy sounds like junior who always wanted to butt into the conversation finally getting his chance while the adults start filing out of the room.

I agree. Plus, now with the current setup, all I hear is Wheeler and McCarthy all the time on tv(and heck, even McCarthy is sounding worse just having to sit next to and interact with Wheeler). I think one of the greatest things you could say about Kalas (well, two things) was that he spared us having to hear Wheeler (I refuse to call that guy "Wheels") for long periods of consecutive time and that he hated Wheeler with a passion.

Just move out of the area so the only Phillies games you get are ESPN and Nationals games. Problem solved. ;)
