WKU/Southern Miss to start home-home series in FB and BB

Put in another victory for Western Kentucky University with this huge news:

Western Kentucky and Southern Mississippi will start a home-home series in football and men's basketball. In football, Southern Miss will travel to Bowling Green during 2012 season and Western Kentucky will return to Hattiesburg during the 2016 season. In basketball, Western Kentucky will go to Hattiesburg in the 2012 - 2013 season and Southern Miss will go to Bowling Green the following basketball season.

South Florida is the first FBS school to play in L.T. Smith Stadium
Indiana is the first Big Ten member to play in Bowling Green and now....
Southern Miss becomes the first Conference USA member to play in Bowling Green

In the basketball, all-time Western Kentucky is undefeated (3 - 0) against Southern Miss, this will be the first meeting between them since 2002.

Add Virginia Commonwealth to the mix of teams that will be playing a home/home Men's Basketball series with Western Kentucky in the upcoming years. Virginia Commonwealth will be Bowling Green this next season and Western Kentucky will be in Richmond, VA the following season!! This non-conference schedule is going to be shaping up nicely when it's announce in the upcoming months.
