I would refuse to watch a game there. I can take blue turf, and possibly red, but that is just awful.

Re: UCA turf installation
We adapted an original idea, but UCA has adapted the adapted idea and made it hilariously stupid.
Thanks "bears," for making EWU no longer the school with the most ridiculous turf.
All kidding aside, it'll be fun to find out ff their fans and team embrace it to the extent that EWU did in going undefeated on it. If they do, unfortunately it will be a surefire trend in the coming years. Wouldn't be surprised if an FBS team did it. Probably someone else in the WAC/MCW...

Sorry but that is ugly.

Ruining such a nice part of campus too. Magnificent trees, great grass, beautiful architecture...and then that.
Re: UCA turf installation
Wow....they just made EWU look respectable.
Re: UCA turf installation
I may be in the minority, but I think it looks good.

If colored fields started 40 years ago, then it would be respected tradition today.

We became respectable Jan 7th.
Re: UCA turf installation
I don't mind a solid stupid-colored field, but this is an abomination and should be ruled on by the NCAA. This cannot be allowed to continue. It's just ridiculous.

I would prefer it if the whole field was GRAY

Unfortunately, we have to play on it one time. I won't be making the trip though I may catch it online.
I'm just afraid our guys will be so distracted, laughing, they wont be able to play.
hmmmm....maybe that's the ploy.

Re: UCA turf installation
I sort of dig the multicolored field. I am surprised it took this long for colored fields to start surfacing more. You would think once color tv became a main stay in every home, and turf was added to sports field it would of been a no brainer for a lot of teams.

Only good thing about it is the midfield logo...

Being honest, I actually prefer this than the bright red field at Eastern Washington.
Re: UCA turf installation
I'd rather watch a game at the "Barney Bowl" over the retina-burning turf at the "Tampon".
