What a douchebag.

Article along with interview with the one chick below and Weiner's press conference:

"Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York said today he has engaged in "several inappropriate" electronic relationships with six women over three years, and that he publicly lied about a photo of himself sent over Twitter to a college student in Seattle over a week ago.

"I take full responsibility for my actions," Weiner said. "The picture was of me, and I sent it."

The announcement came as ABC News prepared to release an interview with Meagan Broussard, a 26-year-old single mother from Texas who provided dozens of photos, emails, Facebook messages and cell phone call logs that she says chronicle a sexually-charged electronic relationship with Weiner that rapidly-evolved for more than a month, starting on April 20, 2011.....

Weiner, please don't resign. This guy is boon to political comedy and to Republicans and will remain so as long as he's in office. Outsized of a few donks, no one will take him seriously. It will be funny as hell every time he makes a public appearance people will be mocking him..

Now Baldy, you know only republicans have to resign when they caught busted for lying. With a democrat the media will forgive him and more or less push the sentiment "but his importance outweighs this unfortunate mishap" while completely ignoring the fact that any shithead who would lie and cheat on those who are closest to him and love him the most would fuck the rest of us over in a blink with no remorse whatsoever.

I told you last weekend I was becoming a liberal and this just confirms it. For the rest of you who weren't there I told Baldy that I was becoming a liberal so I could officially be offended at the least little thing- and perhaps get some money for it!!! Little did I know there was a bonus to being a liberal which is the privilege of lying and cheating with no consequence or guilt. This liberal thing is looking better and better...

What is it with some of these politicians?

I mean, sometimes I wonder if judgment is in any way connected to intelligence. When you look at guys like Weiner, you know the guy is smart, so why he hell do guy s like this do silly stupid sh!t? They are in the public eye, public servants, so they have to know that people are out to smear them.

I wondered the same thing about Bill Clinton as well as a couple guys back on the department who just could not stay away from the strange pu$$y even if there was a gun to their heads. There truly cannot be a connection between intelligence and judgment.

Of course, him being a Democrat, he probably isn't at fault.
A week after claiming a hacker had posted a lewd photo to his Twitter account, U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner on Monday apologized for lying about the incident and admitted carrying on inappropriate relationships with several women he'd met online.

Weiner, a New York Democrat, said he is not resigning his seat, nor is he planning on separating from his wife. But he said he took "full responsibility" for his actions -- both the relationships and for lying about sending the photo last month of his bulging underwear on his Twitter account.

".....The picture showing Weiner shirtless was reminiscent of a photo of former Rep. Chris Lee, a New York Republican who abruptly resigned from office earlier this year after a shirtless photo he sent a woman on Craigslist became public.
Weiner married Abedin, an aide to Hillary Rodham Clinton, last July, with former President Bill Clinton officiating. Before that, Weiner had been known as one of New York's most eligible bachelors.

One thing I take from this is that the smartest guy is not always the best one for the job. (See Al Gore and Walter Mondale)

Maybe we should base political debates on this premise. Instead of asking presidential candidates what their policies are, (which allows them to political-speak their way through prepared comments), give them hypothetical situations and then ask them what they would do in those scenarios. Make them ongoing, developing scenarios, like, "ok, you did that, but now this happens. NOW what would you do?" Most jobs that require judgment and decision making have entry processes like this. I would hope that voters would be more interested in how a candidate would react to an ongoing situation than whether he wears boxers or briefs, or whether he went to an Ivy League school or not.

When you think about our greatest Presidents, few of them were very lettered or thought of initially as being all that intellectual. Abraham Lincoln comes to mind. Kind of a folksy, backwoods guy, but like Shelby Foote once said, one of the two natural geniuses to come out of the Civil War.

Put it this way: In my opinion, the two highest IQ Presidents of my lifetime were Richard Nixon and Jimmy Carter. Richard Nixon is documented to have had a genius level IQ. Carter had a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the United States Naval Academy. With all due respect to lawyers and the Ivy League law schools from which many politicians issued, I do not consider ANY law degree to be as reflective of raw intelligence as a physics degree at any level.

But if I had to pick the two greatest failures as Presidents of my lifetime, it would be Nixon and Carter.

Pelosi seeks House ethics probe on Weiner
Reuters ^

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi on Monday called for an ethics panel probe into the conduct of Representative Anthony Weiner after he admitted having Internet sex relationships with a number of women.

"I am calling for an Ethics Committee investigation to determine whether any official resources were used or any other violation of House rules occurred," Pelosi said in a statement. She said she was "deeply disappointed and saddened" about the situation.

The New York Democrat said he did not use any official email services in his exchanges with six women that included lewd photographs of himself. He said he would not resign.

President Barack Obama’s critics who liken him to the feckless Jimmy Carter have it all wrong. The Obama White House is engaged in a campaign to override and overrun Congress with executive power the likes of which haven’t been seen since President Richard Nixon.

The Obama administration is using the Labor Department to ram through something like Card Check (repeatedly failed to pass the Senate), the Environmental Protection Agency to impose something like Kyoto Treaty protocols (voted down by the Senate 95-0), the NLRB shutting down Boeing’s $2 billion Dreamliner factory in South Carolina and other initiatives, many of dubious constitutionality. It’s a lengthening list. My fellow columnist Charles Kadlec reviews a choice few “executive actions” this week here at Forbes.com. Don’t miss it!

Alarm bells really began sounding when the New York Times reported that the IRS is looking into reversing a 30-year-old policy to apply a gift tax to donors to social welfare organizations. There is almost no chance that this tax came from career staff alone.
