At least this may get Forcier interested in UM, thinking he may get playing time. Don't know if that is a good thing for UM or not. That cat is a headcase.
Jeez, big deal on what happened at ND. The police raided a house party. Over 40 kids were cited for MIP. The majority of them were ND athletes. BFD. Being caught at house party has nothing to do with getting a DUI.
A history of being stupid enough to be as high profile as he is and get caught twice is a BFD.
If he's going to drink under age - well that happens. However, to know the focus that is on you and be dumb enough to be sloppy about it and get caught TWICE...that is a bad pattern
If it wasn't Joe Montana's kid, it wouldn't be as blown out as it is. Leave the damn guy and his family alone. He fucked up, understandable, it happens to everyone at one point.

And putting his DUI as the TOP front page headline in today's paper is total bush league of the Missoulian, IMO.

My only question to young Mr. Montana is where the hell are you going at 4:30am???? If it takes you until 4:30am to get drunk, get laid, or both then you are drinking the wrong hooch and fucking the wrong women. Also, you can pretty much be assured that law enforcement is going to scrutinize any kid who is driving at that time of night.
Pretty damn stupid if you ask me... and if I was Montana's HC he's off the team and off scholarship- I don't care who his dad is or was.

Lets not let facts get in the way of a good public lynching.....
The Missoulian is doing a fantastic job of that.

It is possible to enjoy a great night of drinking, pass out, get sick, catch some zzz's and still be considered legally drunk at 9 o'clock the next morning. Maybe not at the same level as 2 am, but still legally drunk in the eyes of law enforcement. If a person has a great drunk going, four or five hours of sleep will not make him totally sober.

Well, it was also on the home page of msn.com under the sports headlines on Friday. Seemed like national news.

He was released at 4:15am, after having been stopped, taken to the station, and booked. Nice job of making up the facts. He was with other people, so I assume he was giving them a ride home. Maybe he was the designated driver. The Missoula police charged JD Quinn with a DUI, when he was the designated driver. He refused the breath test, asked for a blood test, didn't get it, and then was booked for a DUI. The charge was dropped 10 days later.

Most college kids, and certainly most athletes, drink before they are 21. Getting caught at a houseparty with over 40 other underage people is hardly a major crime, nor is it being sloppy or stupid. It's just bad luck. He does not have a history of getting into trouble. Please stop saying untrue things.
no story here. on talent alone, this kid would never see the field. this just cements his position as "the best son of a former NFL QB to ever hold a clipboard for UM."

I don't know about that. Accounts from spring ball indicated he was playing well enough to earn the backup job—he seemed to be doing better than Smithwick-Hann.

EVERYONE plays well in the spring!!! (i threw for 47 yards and a TD in the last griz scrum.) maybe this is nerd-speak, but nothing about his stats(at any level) say he'll suceed in the high pressure football atmosphere of missoula. the DUI was a lack of judgement; not a good trait for a QB.
long story short, if this kid sees the field at UM, something has gone horribly wrong.

I think you missed the point. It's about how well he was playing relative to the other QBs, not so much how good he is overall—that's what determines whether he'll see the field. He wasn't as good as Johnson, but he was better than Smithwick-Hann most of the time.

I'm no fan of Joe Montana (played for the Whiners AND the Domers, plus he threw the bloody Catch, that's three strikes right there), but I hope he not only plays in the Brawl, I hope he singlehandedly destroys the Kitties.
