Luongo's fragile psyche has been shredded. 12 goals against in 2 games? Looking more like Boston in 6.

Re: NHL
Huge win for the Nucks.
Gotta love the 2-2-1-1-1 travel format in the NHL playoffs. Boston was on a roll and a third game in a row there might have been ugly. Instead, the Nucks get to come home and right the ship and now Boston can try to do the same in Game 6.
I'm still liking my Nucks in 7 pick.

Start Schneider and let Bobby come in if they build up a decent lead.Ivytalk wrote:Luongo shelled again. Can he get it together mentally for Game 7?

Re: NHL
Why can't Boston carry their hot scoring with them on the road? I believe they are outscoring the Vancouver something close to 17-3 but have only scored 1 goal in 3 games in Vancouver?
However I'll go out on a limb and say Boston wins game 7 and we get the series first road win.
Also this game 7 is big for the NHL. The NBA Finals are now over, there's no other sports on right now so I expect the game tomorrow night to get a good rating because you'll get people like me who havent watched a full game all series but will tune into it.

Ratings in Canandia will, of course, be off the charts. However, I think too many people in major markets (read: on the east coast) will just say "Vanwhere?" and decide not to watch. Hope I'm wrong, though.ODUalum11 wrote:Why can't Boston carry their hot scoring with them on the road? Last line change is playing a huge role in this series, although you'd think it'd be more for getting Vancouver's top line scoring (by getting Sedins/Burrows away from Chara/Seidenberg) instead of simply shutting down Boston's...ODUalum11 wrote:Why can't Boston carry their hot scoring with them on the road? Re: NHL
this... its the only real difference between playing at home and on the road.... sure the home crowds can be a difference, but its unlikely thats the reason behind the huge difference between how the teams are playing in each city... Boston has been the better team in this series, killing Vancouver at home by a combined 17-3 score and very much having a chance to win each game in Vancouver and losing the three by a combined 5-2 score. Boston probably should have won game 2 when they led 2-1 in the third period and the other two games took late goals by Vancouver to come away with 1-0 wins.Rob Iola wrote:Last line change is playing a huge role in this series, although you'd think it'd be more for getting Vancouver's top line scoring (by getting Sedins/Burrows away from Chara/Seidenberg) instead of simply shutting down Boston's...ODUalum11 wrote:Why can't Boston carry their hot scoring with them on the road? Very hard to predict. This has been an extremely schizophrenic series.

This has been pretty fuckin' anti-climactic so far. The 'nucks are going to need a miraculous 3rd period to pull this thing off.
