Re: NHL
What is fucked up is that the Boston team has more Canadians on it than the Vancouver team.

I can understand how irritating Marchand can be, but jeez he had a terrific Game 7 (and series) - if Vancouver had played with half the fire he and Bergeron (and heck 90 year old Mark Recchi) played with, it would've been a much tighter game...griz37 wrote:Luongo is hockey's version of Lebron & I would paid a pretty penny to see somebody punch Marchand right in little Frenchie looking face!

As much as I hate Boston sports...I think I hate Vancouver more now
They booed during the entire presentation ceremony until the native on the Bruins was announced. Now they're tearing up the city because they lost.

Re: NHL
37 is right...remember Bettman presided over them losing out on an entire season of their national sport. They booed the whole time he was talking, but were actually pretty classy and respectful while the Bruins were parading the Cup around their rink..Willie wrote:As much as I hate Boston sports...I think I hate Vancouver more now

I'd rather see fans booing after getting beat at home instead of taking it up the *** quietly like those bitches in Miami. The tearing up the city is stupid as ****.

The same thing happened in Vancouver in '94 when the Rangers beat them, albeit on a lesser scale. Montreal fans also rioted after losing a Cup final. Is it a test of national manhood or what? Silly Canadians.tampajag wrote:I'd rather see fans booing after getting beat at home instead of taking it up the *** quietly like those bitches in Miami. The tearing up the city is stupid as ****.
Also, the Flyers now have virually no shot at signing Tim Thomas, and they'd have to have their heads examined to go after Luongo.

Re: NHL
comparing Luongo to Lebron is the perfect comparison. He was absolutely no where to be found in the last two games of this series.
Also, it is sort of entertaining seeing Canucks fans tearing down their city.
Fun Fact, the New England Patriots are now the boston team with the longest championship drought. What the **** is wrong with that franchise?!

I'm going there in July for a folk music festival; maybe I should sport a 'Boston Bruins: 2011 Stanley Cup Champs' t-shirt and see how long I last.ODUalum11 wrote:comparing Luongo to Lebron is the perfect comparison. He was absolutely no where to be found in the last two games of this series.![]()

Barry Melrose said Hockey is like a religion in Vancouver so I think that would be like my friend being stupid enough to wear a Yankees hat and walk the streets of Boston.Grizalltheway wrote:I'm going there in July for a folk music festival; maybe I should sport a 'Boston Bruins: 2011 Stanley Cup Champs' t-shirt and see how long I last.ODUalum11 wrote:comparing Luongo to Lebron is the perfect comparison. UNH, it is a nice problem to have. Really goes to show how successful boston teams have been when the probably the best operated franchise in the whole city is the one with the longest championship drought.

For the most part walking in Boston with a Yankees hat or NYC with a Sox hat or Pats jersey is fine... just dont do it when the teams are playing, thats when u get most of the crapODUalum11 wrote:Barry Melrose said Hockey is like a religion in Vancouver so I think that would be like my friend being stupid enough to wear a Yankees hat and walk the streets of Boston.Grizalltheway wrote:

Also, is it me or did I see fans throwing stuff onto the ice during the trophy presentation? Also just saw some of the video of the violence in Vancouver. It's sad, but comical thats how reactions are right now.

I was looking at the riot pictures this morning and this one was right in the middle of the car on fire shots.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. Al Swearengen
