I'm game to discuss extending the submission deadline. We only did the cutoff on Sunday night because a number of posters were whining that Monday eve. was TOO LATE to be publishing as competitors had theirs out by Sunday night.
Personally, I like Monday night...gives everyone time to look at results and injuries, etc...

Sooo...

I'm asking that anyone who is OPPOSED to extending the deadline to 6pm Monday, please speak up and offer reasons against the extension.

We'll keep this discussion going for a week, then adjourn to the Star Chamber to confer and pass judgement.

I definitely recommend anyone who's qualified to join in and hasn't yet to sign up. It actually keeps you aware of the rest of the FCS which is the best reason to do it. Having more people also keeps the discussions lively and the more people and diversity we have, the better the poll will be.

As for the submission deadlines, I just say we just wait and discuss it in the poll forum when it becomes available.

I have no problem with it. I usually have my poll, as well as the conference power rankings, ready to go by Sunday night. But that's just me. The only problem is those who are traveling from road games on Sunday. Depending on how far they are, it may make a difference.

I will say this, though. The ones who do it as part of their job (coaches, reporters, etc.) MUST have theirs in by Sunday, 12 midnight ET. Our poll is comprised by the casual fan, so I don't think it makes much difference (deadline Sunday or Monday), my opinion only.
