Hopefully Cal will make a statement in Omaha in its final season (for now). I'll be pulling for them.

Final season? Huh? Cal baseball has been reinstated following a very successful fundraising movement and they are targetting a $20M endowment to keep the program funded forever. They're not going anywhere (other than Omaha).

Really upset with UC-Irvine, 3 outs from eliminating favorite UVA but lost it in the bottom of the 9th to help send UVA to Omaha.

Actually they were 1 out away from eliminating them. Had 2 outs when the roof caved in. My household was pissed when it happened. But I also know how that goes. Happens to TXST (it seems) every time we play UT. (except the umps get more involved like they did in the UT/ASU game)
