I argue that the logic does not follow on that one.
who's to say that there wouldn't have been riots in Vancouver if the Canucks had won instead?

Perhaps we should blame the referree. He's the one that dropped the puck for the faceoffs (or is it a linesman that does that, I can't remember. anyway.....). If the puck hadn't been dropped, then neither team would have won, nor lost. Granted, the lack of a puck drop would probably lead to even bigger riots, but anyway.....
