I don't think opposing abortion for every instance (even in cases of rape and life of mother) is too uniting...

Lied about Oreo cookies being thrown at him at a campaign rally

Oreo cookie incident
After a September 26, 2002 gubernatorial debate, which had occurred without reported incident, Paul Schurick, Ehrlich's communications manager, claimed that the Townsend campaign handed out Oreo cookies to the audience.[6] Five days after the debate, Steele said that one or more Oreo cookies had rolled to his feet during the debate suggesting a racist statement against him, that of being black on the outside and white on the inside like an Oreo. "Maybe it was just someone having their snack, but it was there," Steele said. "If it happened, shame on them if they are that immature and that threatened by me." At the time of the debate, Schurick had not mentioned any such incident, but in November 2005 he claimed "It was raining Oreos... They were thick in the air like locusts. I was there. It was very real. It wasn't subtle."[7] In a November 2005 Hannity and Colmes appearance, Steele agreed with Hannity that cookies were thrown at him.[8] Neil Duke of the Baltimore NAACP, who moderated the debate, praised the "passionate audience" and noted their "derisive behavior"[6] but did not see such behavior. "Were there some goofballs sitting in [the] right-hand corner section tossing cookies amongst themselves and acting like sophomores, as the legend has it?" Duke said. "I have no reason to doubt those sources; I just didn't see it."[7][9][10] The operations manager of the building where the debate was held, interviewed three years after the event by the Baltimore Sun, disputed Steele's claim and said "I was in on the cleanup, and we found no cookies or anything else abnormal. There were no Oreo cookies thrown."[

If he has no hangups about gay marriage, then why did he in 2006 call for a Federal Constitutional Amendment prohibiting it?

And I know you are ok with gay marriage :)

I just know that on his "to do" list, it's far down the ladder. We conservatives have more important things. At least I would hope so. We have a nation to fight for.

Am I the only one that doesn't really care if he is black or not? Is it that big of a deal that he is black, and if it is not why put it in the title. I am really sick of all this kind of crap.

First black head coach to win a super bowl
First black guy to do this
First black lady to hold this spot
First black person......

WHO CARES WHAT THE GUYS SKIN COLOR IS I sure as hell don't. If he does his/her job well and doesn't fuck up very often then why does it matter.

That's not how the left establishment wants you to think. As long as black people are the victims, the Democrats have a voting block. I could care less if he was a blue, midget, who only ate cheez-its if he can do the job.

Amen! Whenever I have to fill out a survey in the "race" section I check "other" and write in "human being". Why does it matter if you're white, brown, black, green, or purple?

I seem to remember an embracing of the Rovian rhetoric so loved by this crowd....it's why people like me, who admired McCain pre-campaign, voted third party.....he sold his soul to that crowd and it backfired with Moderates...
