Just a quick question? Is it the pitching in these conferences that makes announcers be in awe of the guys hitting 8-9-10 HRs this year? Just wondering because our stadium is fairly comparable to most of theirs. Almost comparable to Ameritrade. It (Bobcat Field) is configured oddly because our CF wall is straight (not bowed) so the power alleys are actually around 375-390 (where CF is only 404) and our lines are 330 (TD Amer is 335). We even got 2 @ UTs field and their entire team only hit 17 all season.

We had a guy who hit 21 this year (not all at home) 2 others with 10 each and 59 (in 64 games) as a team. Am I missing something here?

really outside of LSU and their "geaux-rilla ball" era SEC pitching has always been top notch. 18 homers led the SEC and ACC this year.

Gators defeat Vanderbilt 3-1. Now off until Friday.

I believe Vandy now plays North Carolina tomorrow in an elimination.

Cal defeats Texas A&M 7-3. The Aggies are now eliminated. They will play the winner of South Carolina/Virginia.

North Carolina defeats Texas 3-0. Texas eliminated. Will play the winner of Florida/Vanderbilt.

South Carolina defeats Virginia 7-1. USC is off until Friday and UVA plays Cal in an elimination game on Thursday.

I will note that our players actually hit better against the better pitching * (in and out of conference) and this kid just got ABCA All American recognition. Too bad he won't be back next year. But I wish him well in MLB and hope to see him in the bigs one day. Odds are against him because he's only 6' , 195 - not MLB 1B material.

*IOW - most of the conference games we lost, the pitcher actually had a horrible ERA....go figure.
