Lockout Nears End

Lots of positive news coming from Chicago today where it appears the NFL lockout is nearing an end.

Owners were expected to meet into Wednesday to try coming to an agreement with each other on what it would take to make a deal, now owners are expecting the meeting to end soon today which suggests the owners are in agreement and that agreement is likely towards where a majority of owners were at the end of last week willing to make concessions to get a deal done. Some owners, most notably small market teams were balking saying the owners weren't trying to correct the mistakes they conceded in the last deal.

Owners have also reportedly agreed on how the off season will go once the lockout ends.

According to Adam Schefter, once a deal is reached, all players with 4, 5 and 6 years of service will become unrestricted free agents.

The college football and MLB fan in me kind of wants to see this keep going.

+1. If there is no NFL this year I could easily live with just college football. I bet the NHL would love the NBA and NFL lose the season this year due to lockouts.

NFL is so much more fun to watch than that stupid baseball shit.

If the lockout doesn't end I may cry, on Grizo's back, next time he comes over.
