Based on wins/losses, without any SoS context, those results show parity in two tiers the top and bottom. Reminds me of the old NCC and the Big Sky now, although the top is a lot smaller and with the addition of UND the bottom even larger.

The MVFC has parity over most of the teams. That indicates to me they are far more competitive overall and can be successful on the national scene, as NDSU was last season.

As we all know UNI was stopped in the first round of the playoffs, at home, by Lafayette conference mate Lehigh last season. The week before Lehigh and Lafayette were locked in a classic battle. By comparative scores/statistics it is obvous Lafayette is every bit as good as the 2010 FCS Playoff Contender UNI Panthers.

In the MVFC there is a lot of parity. I think YSU will play the Leopards later in the season. The games might be a good measuring stick.

Now that we have recognized stupid and have rewarded one of the top practictioners with todays stupid trophy its time to talk football again.

NDSU has just released some highlight video from last season. This is a superbly produced video production, typical of NDSU, highliting a great FCS success story of achievement, talent and skill. This wasn't a team that needed a lucky call or two, or a team that scheduled foolishly. This isn't a great program in decline or a flash in the pan. Its not a team that suffered a first round defeat at the hands of the Patriot League or a team that had too many underclassman.

The 2010 BISON were the first installment of this, the 4th BISON Football Dynasty.
