If you look at on campus facilities, there are still 48 with larger capacities than UNCC's stadium

Actually, almost all of them are on-campus stadiums. And from the original three conferences we were talking about (CAA, SoCon, Big South), only Georgia State plays off-campus.

Here, when you have the time, take a trip around the country:

It's already been posted a few times...the stadium has plans for an expansion to 40,000.

Also worth noting, most of the stadiums on that list are not on campus stadiums, which I believe is what the original post was referring to.

I love all the 2 and 3 post newbie Charlotte fans in here.

About three games into the coming season and they'll be gone.

BTW- we might have been down for a while, but come back and we'll talk after you have 2 conference championships, several FCS playoff appearances, some FCS playoff wins, and several wins over FBS teams to include Arkansas and the GameCooters.

You guys are going to be sucking hind tit for about 3 years. Don't have to come from a school with a recent winning season to know that.

Yeah, I'm not claiming we will be good the first few years either. I am just hoping at this point that we can get a stable foundation by winning a few games that first year or two. The majority of alums and students don't think we will come out and dominate straight out of gate. As a matter of fact, most the people I have spoken to think we will probably be embarrassed the first few years. But thats okay, because at least we have football now and its a step in the right direction. For years, the public, other universities and the city of Charlotte has tried to keep us down. Now we have finally stood up and said "enough is enough, we want football and we are going to get it, no matter what your opinions are."

The didn't decide to comment in this thread because someone was attacking my school, I commented because CitDog is obviously not the smartest individual to have ever attended The Citadel.

For the purposes of entertainment from CitDog though, I might be willing to make a few preposterous statements about Charlotte 49er football.

That's the thing. I'm not even talking smack. I have no illusions that we'll be good right out of the gate. I was laughing at citdog for talking smack with the recent history of his program. Where you're 12 games under .500 you lose a lot of smack talk credibility.

A hyphen? Really? lol.

By the way, we are technically "UNC Charlotte" not "UNC-Charlotte" or "UNCC" or "UNC-C."
UNC-Chapel Hill is the only "UNC-Insert location" school that still has it's hyphen.

my sincere regrets to those here who went to GOOD schools with an -

A hyphen? Really? lol.

By the way, we are technically "UNC Charlotte" not "UNC-Charlotte" or "UNCC" or "UNC-C."
UNC-Chapel Hill is the only "UNC-Insert location" school that still has it's hyphen.
What you are is the University of North Carolina, Charlotte Campus.

You should change the name just like USC Spartanburg did. I think they are now USC Upstate or something like that.

I would suggest "North Rock Hill University", since most North Carolinians like myself know intrinsically that Charlotte is not really North Carolina.
