Does anyone even watch the Home Run Derby anymore? I mean...the fucking 7.6 million fucking commercials and it takes 4.5 hours when it should take less than 2. Fuck it.
What about the All Star Game? I don't watch it either....Same as the NFL Pro Bowl, too many fucking commercials and the same problems....Lets let everyone play and lets allow only 1-2 innings per pitcher. Lets have a roster of 50 guys when it should be less than 17. I will go fishing instead.

Not so much the home run derby, but I haven't missed an all-star game since 1967.grizzaholic wrote:Does anyone even watch the Home Run Derby anymore? I mean...the **** 7.6 million **** commercials and it takes 4.5 hours when it should take less than 2. **** it.

I don't watch the damn thing for the reasons you listed, as well as the fact that the guy with the most home runs doesn't always win.
That is some bullshit.

The home run derby never has the best power hitters. Bums like Rickie Weeks and David Ortiz. Put the best power hitters in the game in it despite numbers. Adam Dunn should be in every home run derby. No one hits it farther than him. Pujols, Konerko, Juicer Joey Bats, etc, need to be in it.

I usualkly watch the introduction and first inning or so. After that, all the starters are pulled to shuffle everyone in. I remember when the starters played most of the game. No one has league loyalty anymore because of free agency, so no one gives a fuck.
