See my earlier post - when facilities equates to on-field performance, then I'll be concerned. Isn't GSU supposed to be the SoCon favorite this year? Amazing since they lost the arms race. :coffee:

Hey all the credit in the world to JMU - they're moving forward with football facilities & even though UD has ALWAYS led the pack in attendace and facility size, we've sat still if not stepped back over the past 40 years.

Saint - arms races aren't always what they're cracked up to be when Villanova, with some of the crappiest facilities in FCS walks all over Kidd-Brewer.

P.S. They said they weren't that impressed....

Nova didn't enter the new building, in fact ASU makes visiting teams use the visitor's lockerroom in the old fieldhouse while the old home lockerroom goes unused. So imagine they really weren't impressed.

I think I may have touched a nerve with UD fans, don't take it out on the messenger that your administration printed up those nice posters with no real plans to build anything. You guys have another thing in common with GSU fans, you have tons of potential but leadership that continues to hold you back.

Again, who's being held back? And being held back from what? Richmond - crappy facilities, wins at Kidd Brewer and goes on to win the national title. nova, with such crappy facilities that the one restroom on the visitor side is is often inoperable (and let's be honest, there's almost never a need for a restroom on that side anyway - the 100 or so people in attendance don't even go over to that side) wins a national title and then in the following year goes to Kidd Brewer and wins. And EWU plays on a red carpet and beats the team who won at Kidd Brewer and then wins the title. Heck, UNH plays in a dump yet has managed to make the playoffs in the hardest conference in FCS something like 7 years in a row. And again, GSU goes further in the playoffs this past year, and is the odds on favorite this year in the SoCon, all despite having lost the arms race to ASU. What's the point of the arms race again? I can think of plenty of examples where teams with nice facilities have not translated into great teams *cough* Chatty *cough*. Can't really think of any where facilities translated directly into wins.

I would say there are plenty of alumni at UD and GSU who would agree they are not reaching their potential. You don't have to agree with them, but they're out there, we both know it.

Potential in terms of what? We have been in three championship games in eight seasons if my math is correct. Fourteen FCS/I-AA playoff appearances in the past 29 seasons. Six national championships in our history. I don't think our 22K stadium is holding us back too much.

But anyway, we're slightly off topic.

The only thing I ducked was the UNH playoff game - sorry about that, kids tend to get in the way. We'll catch up this season.

Do you alway argue with someone agreeing with you? I've conceded that UD has maximized its potential. Cruise control is the way to go. Now be polite and move over to the right lane, JMU and ODU are approaching.

So this has now become the defacto website for FBS-wannabe fanboys it appears.

Good luck in the Sunbelt, boys!

Keep in mind that the one thing schools like Delaware and UMass have over directional schools and university system schools is that if we so choose, we will likely have better move-up options as state flagships. Delaware's AD has stated that private donor money will be the driving force, and if said money is earmarked, UD will continue building up infrastructure to put us in the position to make a move in reaction to how the landscape in FCS might change. I'm not worried.

Move up or move over. I loved the smugness of the UD fans before we ran you guys out of the stadium, that same smugness will provide programs like ODU and JMU opportunities to move past UD.

Why are you still on an FCS website? Shouldn't you already have your account set up on we'rethesunbeltandwethinkwe'rerelevant.com?

Build yourself a shed made from recycled trailers to practic indoors, and a pressbox for Coulson to keep his kneepads, and apparently App State is now entitled to have an opinion on what wrong with UD's facilities.

I love it when UD fans attack other schools (JMU is this case) but can't take it. How is it living so high in that tower?

I like mine extra dirty, with about a half dozen olives. Bitch.

I like JMU's new stadium. And UD's. And App State's. They all have something to offer in different aspects. Why all the bitching?

I haven't been there yet, I've attended games at the three I've mentioned.... :coffee:
Besides, I have no idea what it even looks like. How many people could possibly want to go see a game in Idaho? A couple thousand? Meh.
