So, that's 6 FBS wins since 1990 (6-10 record), and that doesn't count the 5 wins against BYU, 9 against Boise State, the 6 against Colorado State, the 1 against U of A, the 1 against Abeline Christian, the 1 against Hawaii, the OTHER 23 against Idaho, the 1 against Marshall, the 4 against Nevada, 1 against UNLV, 4 against New Mexico, 1 against Northern Illinois, 1 against Texas Tech, 8 against Utah State, 1 against Washington and 2 against Washington State---all current FBS (or BCS) teams.

Perhaps now you see why it's not a huge deal?

The year Montana got thrashed by Iowa, Minnesota beat Iowa after blocking a last second field goal to defeat NDSU. But it's not that tough.

The comprehensive list might show us where the new line the BSC is talking about may be drawn. You are in the BCS or you are in the FCS.

That would explain Miami (OH)'s win over Northwestern appearing on this list. Miami has never been an FCS team.

Heck, if you expect lowly NDSU to have 20, highly ranked UNI should have 40 in 30 years of I-AA and FCS football play.

Here is the NDSU record against current BCS/FBS teams. Most of games occurred in the era before divisions when it was just college football. A few games came during the period of Small and Large College Football. The most success has come since the distinction of divisions in 1974

Well, good thing you restricted the list to FCS teams. Otherwise, NDSU would be the far and wide leader (for once ) with 16 DII defeats since 2000, compared to UM's 1. Since joining DI in 2004, NDSU has stopped playing DII...possibly because of their 3 game losing streak to then DII North Dakota?

Well, good thing you restricted the list to FCS teams. Otherwise, NDSU would be the far and wide leader (for once ) with 16 DII defeats since 2000, compared to UM's 1. Since joining DI in 2004, NDSU has stopped playing DII...possibly because of their 3 game losing streak to then DII North Dakota?

A DII win doesn't really help when it comes down to selecting playoff teams, like Montana last year with a 7-4 record and not being selected to the playoffs.
