Grizo, you're not EWU's Bitch. You're an EWU bitch. There's a difference. Those that support EWU but aren't from EWU are EWU bitches. Those that get their ass beat by EWU, they are the ones that are EWU's bitches. Like ndsu for example; they are EWU's bitch.

Now that we've gotten that cleared up, we can get back on topic and start discussing EWU's reign as kings of the FCS, making the Dakota schools our bitches. :thumb:

OK guys, its time to get back to business, the business of BISON Football.

Here is part 2 of the Bison Media Video Football Blog:

http://www.wday.com/event/article/id/49 ... up/Sports/

This a great opportunity for all the Lafayette fans to get a look at The Herd. It's a nice chance for anyone that wants to be "In-the-Know" with FCS football to get "Up-to-Speed".

Its under 2 weeks now, Aug 4, until the equipment is divided up and fall practice begins.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

I can tell you this, its going to be fun no matter who wins. It will be a huge tail gate event and the place should be packed. We are looking for a Lafayette club that can play ball with schools like UNI.

THE BUZZ IS PICKING UP:
Inside NDSU Football wrote:Our calculations show the Leopards can play at the UNI level and higher. After all they stood up to Lehigh pretty well.

They will be an experienced club with an advantage at QB and probably receivers. We will present them with a stout pass defense and should be able to limit their rushing game.

As usual dont expect much if they cant execute the big play. Inside the red zone the NDSU defense is tough. Look for them to trade FGs for TDs. The winning margin may very likely be divisable by 4.

If they start driving in for scores and are scoring TDs from the red zone look out for the upset especially if they score on a big play and a sustained drive.

Maybe the MCFC should drop NDSU and pull Lafayette or Lehigh into the MVFC....since they can play with UNI, but NDSU clearly can't.

NDSU is 1-3 in their last 4 against SDSU and 3-10 in their last 13 against UND. Apparently they have a problem in their own area as well, an area in which they allegedly hold a significant recruiting advantage what with the conglomerate and all....

Throw 0-3 against UNI in there, and they are 4-16 in their last 20 big "rivalry" games.

This thread has truly taken on a life of its own. I'm interested to see what kind of discussion this game gets on ASG as September grows closer. I wish there were more PL/Pard fans on here to give this thread a little more legitimacy.

As a Lehigh fan i'm extremely interested to see how Lafayette is this year. Based on the last 10 years 2010 would seem to be an abberation. Even if that's the case what is a reasonable turn around from 2-9? There's a lot of talent that is now experienced which will give Lafayette a huge boost. It's conceivable LC could have one of the largest turnarounds in the country this year. It's also possible that those players were both young and not very good and the Pards will struggle once again.

Ultimately, i think Lafayette will be a 6-5/7-4 type team which will be good enough to give the Bison a headache for 3 quarters.

Whoa there, pard.

You ARE aware, are you not, that NDSU has 4 (count 'em) FOUR FBS wins recently, yes?

Are you aware they have an honest to God conglomerate? That issues its own press releases?

Were you aware of the fact they have an incredible recruiting advantage in their area?

How about the fact more people in Minnesota root for the Bison than the Golden Gophers?

Or that their entire offensive and defensive lines are NFL caliber and will be drafted this year (regardless of whether they're seniors or not)?

What about the fact that they'd be national champs every year if it weren't for cowbells, red turn and Bill Fette?

Lets be honest here....Laffayette will be lucky to stay within 50 of the mighty Bison of North Dakota.

Its all superficial none-sense. Big Time College Football in North Dakota is found at NDSU. The NDSU Football Conglomerate is in charge of anything football in North Dakota. Win-or-lose is the day-to-day ebb and flow. Im talking about the power of being at the top.

Certainly UNI is a good rival. Their fans delight in the superficial! Oh how they love to brag!

I think its funny how D2 is suddenly important when it comes to NDSU. If you are going to look at the recent UND D2 record vs. NDSU before UND quit, for the third time, in 2003, you have to accept the entire legacy of the NDSU BISON and D2 football. You will also have to acknowledge that NDSU is a solid 25-16 vs. old D2 rival UND since 1965.

Right now The NDSU BISON hold one of the most coveted prizes in all of college football, the "DAKOTA MARKER". They are "in fact" the champions and best college football team in all of the Dakota Territories. King of the Big Dakota 3!!!

The next possible page in the mighty book of BISON LORE is coming up. The next milestone is of course the opening of fall practice on Aug 2 for NDSU. This is a much anticipated event nation wide as all the programs "in-the-know" are curious as to what Head Coach Craig Bohl is up to.

One of the great strengths of the NDSU BISON program is coaching. BISON Head Coach Craig Bohl is not a recent D2 promotion or mid-program FCS lateral type hire. Craig Bohl is the real deal from BCS/FBS big time football top coaching positions. He knows how to recruit and he knows how to build a team at the BCS/FBS level. He knows what it takes to win. Notice how many players from NDSU are being mentioned all-conference, all-american etc etc. This is just the beginning.

Lafayette is going to bring a nice test into one of Americas Great College Venues: The Fabulous Fargo Dome. All indiciations are a sell-out crowd. They know football in Fargo and they know how well Lafayette matches up to Lehigh, a big winner last year against UNI in the first round of the playoffs. This should be a good "UNI type match-up" and a good indicator of the UNI game yet-to-come in Americas most prestigious FCS center-piece: The Fabulous Fargo Dome!!

You see what he's doin there? "If we beat Lafayette, then NDSU > UNI." I guess that's what you have to do to make yourself feel better, since the cows have not yet been able to defeat the Panthers.

Yet another "moral victory" for NDSU.

What are you some kind of dumb-ass? My goodness man. :ohno:

NDSU has a big game here. A win is what we like to call a "barometer" or, as some are now starating to say, "a candlestick". It will be a good indicator of what to expect when UNI rolls into Fargo.

I think you are foolish to believe this has anything to do with a victory, moral or otherwise. We are talking about the future here and the build-up to the "big game" with UNI. They have the privilege of playing in the prestigious venue this season too.

Indeed, not only has UND won 10 of the past 13, YOU will also have to acknowledge (although we all know you WON'T) that UND holds the all-time series lead against their food source across the state, winning 62 and losing just 45 since the series was first played in 1894 (or was that 1094, JBB?) 8-) 8-) 8-) In fact, you strategically chose 1965 for a reason...prior to that year, NDSU was a pathetic 20-47 against their cross state rivals....but is it really a rivalry when both historical and recent history suggests they fucking OWN you? :coffee: :coffee:

I'm sure UND is very proud of their record against NDSU. It is their greatest achievement in sports. As many of you are now claiming just a win or two over NDSU is a huge deal. Many of you know a win over NDSU is the biggest win in your programs history. But UND did quit the series and it is really back there in time when we last played, but after all if the past counts the dynasty that NDSU built in D2 counts. NDSU was the greatest football Dynasty in the history of college football.

Now the BISON appear to be breaking away from the pack in the MVFC and again joining the elite group at the top of the division. Certainly some fans will continue to brag about their team even though the wins were to a great extent "circumstantial", but thats the way they are. :ohno:

The difference between regional programs like UNI and to some extent SIU (more local and they are really down) is their inability to compete at the national level. Good local and regional rural teams, sure, but little interest beyond that. There are a lot of teams like that in the BSC, including EWU. One big program stands out, like NDSU, on a national scale. Other than that there isnt much beyond the regional and of course local interest for the BSC.

Thats part of the reason this game is of such keen national interest. Its going to be a chance for both clubs to show case their programs in the national spot light and for NDSU to show case the prestigious venue: The Fabulous Fargo Dome. A visit around the beautiful NDSU campus is also advised. The serene beauty will bring joy to anyone, even some of you sick bastards!
