Every time a New York team is in a bidding war with a Texas team Philly comes in the backdoor & takes home the prize.

Did the Jets NEED Nnamdi? NO. Did they WANT him? YES. The Jets already have a top NFL defense with or without him. The Jets need to spend that money on a pass rusher.

Former Packers DT Cullen Jenkins reached agreement with the Eagles on a five year, $25 million deal.
They had money to spend and they sure are spending it

It's really a refreshing change of pace from the point of view of Eagles fans (or at least this one).UNHWildCats wrote:Former Packers DT Cullen Jenkins reached agreement with the Eagles on a five year, $25 million deal.

During the Jenkins press conference this afternoon, a reporter asked Howie Roseman if the Eagles still had more money to spend and he said that they'd have to ask Joe Banner, who happened to be in the back of the room. So, the reporter turned around and looked at Banner and Banner responded "hell yeah!"
For those who have watched "Nickels" for the past decade plus, this is very uncharacteristic.
I fucking love it. One of the tighter franchises in the NFL has decided to go on a shopping spree!

well they didnt have a choice but to spend, since teams must spend 99% of their cap. But it must be exciting for Eagles fans to see some new good players coming in93henfan wrote:It's really a refreshing change of pace from the point of view of Eagles fans (or at least this one).UNHWildCats wrote:Former Packers DT Cullen Jenkins reached agreement with the Eagles on a five year, $25 million deal.

I'm not sure this signing guarantees anything, but it certainly helps.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

With the new pieces in place for the Eagles a final piece has just been added... a sideline assistant to help Andy Reid with clock management.

I'm not impressed with this guy. I'd rather have Michael Downs or Dennis Thurman. Heck, even Lester Hayes (pre-stickum ban, of course) is a better cover corner.
