OK - officially jealous - I'm a LSU fan & have always wanted to goto a game there - supposedly best tailgating in the country. I've been to Baton Rouge & inside Tiger Stadium but never for a game. You guys play LSU & we play West Chester, DelState & Bucknell, ugh.

What would the spread in that game be? Could LSU hit 100?

I kid you not: I live in the Baton Rouge area and when I heard this announced on the radio my first thought was, "Geeze. If they were going to schedule a CAA team, why didn't they schedule somebody like Delaware or UMass or William & Mary or Richmond or James Madison?"

If they were going to play a CAA team I wish they'd have played one of the CAA teams that have caused some problems for FBS schools in general and BCS league schools in particular.

Do your kids play sports in the fall? I was ecstatic to see all of Towsons games were at night because the 1pm games are nearly impossible for me to get up to with shuttling around to three soccer games.

Taken from the other board, it is kind of interesting that LSU is paying an out of state FCS team to come in to play when they have a whole bunch of financially struggling FCS teams in their own state that they could play and beat just as badly.

LSU doesn't deal with in-state FCS schools, other than playing McNeese last year and Northwestern St in the 40's.

They are playing Northwestern St. this season.

Agreed. Oldest son is playing his first year of travel and hopefully most of his games are early enough in the morning that I can make the 1PM starts. Luckily UD's got 3 night games in the first 4, and the Navy game happens before the Fall season starts, so I can probably make those games. I don't see how it will be easy when the middle son starts playing travel in 2 years - besides, I'll need to take a second job just so I can afford it.

I usually make 3-4 regular season games. I won't know which games until I get my son's soccer schedule and my daughters softball schedule. I think softball will be Sunday's, but soccer could be either day. This will be my final fall coaching, so it should get better in future years.

This is going to sound terrible, but I really can't recall what games I went to last year. I know I was at Duquesne game, and I think we were at West Chester and Maine games. Plus the GSU semifinal game. This year if I had to guess... either WCUPA or DelSt but probably not both. Hopefully the ODU game. Either the W&M or UMass game, but probably not both. And then probably @Towson. The kids enjoy coming to games, but not every week. I can't blame them. We drive 100 miles, watch the game, drive 100 miles. We rarely have time to tailgate and to tell you the truth, most of my friends from UD don't ever come to the games. Kids have dances, parties, etc... but I wouldn't trade spending time with them for anything.

I've parented well so far & steered both boys from soccer. Oldest plays baseball, hoops & swims - may play fall baseball next year. Younger on could be the bigger athlete, will do all the above probably except will play football too - think the compromise with the wife will be he can play in 6th grade if he wants...
