Almost drove off the road when I heard Lidge was coming in. I know Madson was not with the team, but wonder why Charlie didn't have Lidge pitch the 8th & Bastardo the 9th?Ivytalk wrote:And Lidge got the save!93henfan wrote:Put another one in the win column for the Phightin' Phils!
Would be nice to win the series in the Bay this weekend.

Re: Phillies Parade
Little bit of Mayberry, lot of Pence, and a complete game shutout by Lee, punctuated by a strikeout of that mf'ing Cody Ross.
Chollie even rested Utley and Ibañez.
That's the way to start the series against the Giants.

Good start, Lee, Pence & Mayberry, even Howard & Polanco throwing the leather. The last Giants series started with a win too - let's keep it up tonight, go for 8 in a row!

Phils have 51 games left. If they only went 25-26 the rest of the way, the Braves would need to go 33-17 (.660) just to force a one-game playoff.

Re: Phillies Parade
Could've been bigger than a 3-0 margin if the 3rd base ump doesn't miss the call on Rollins' double steal attempt in the 1st too.

Right, with the tougher Jints pitchers ahead. Sure would be nice for the Phils' bats to light up that pothead Lincecum like a big fat doobie!bluehenbillk wrote:Good start, Lee, Pence & Mayberry, even Howard & Polanco throwing the leather. We've been doing the same shit for what, like five seasons now? And of course, the Phils won the division the previous four times.89Hen wrote:Why are you trying to jinx this?93henfan wrote:Phils have 51 games left. I think the only jinx might be not talking about it.

Arizona beat the big 2 last time around in SF. Time for Cain and Lincecum to have a two-game losing streak.

Hope you're right. Actually, Sanchez starts for them tonight against Worley, and Sanchez can be wild. This will be the Jints' second look at Worley: the first time, the kid pitched great.dbackjon wrote:Ivytalk wrote: Right, with the tougher Jints pitchers ahead. Phils just came to life in the fourth inning tonight. Victo and Mayberry with fence-clearers. Keep it going boys!

Both of you stop it. I mean, really..... The Phillies are doing their part to help out and your bats fall silent?dbackjon wrote:AZGrizFan wrote:

Ok, so I start following the game and the Dbacks start coming to life.
Re: Phillies Parade
Bench clearing brawl, baby! Ramirez threw at Victorino, plunking him in the back. I love the hate!!
Hope nobody's hurt though. Quite a scrum.
