There is a wonderful discussion on BV right now about this game touching on many of the points we have been discussion here including tradition, competitiveness, talent and general overall quality of the Leopards program.

http://www.bisonville.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24193

One of the best things I found out is the wealth of information on the Leopards practice available on what they call "Pre Season Central":

http://www.goleopards.com/sports/m-foot ... ntral.html

Lots of Video and a day by day practice summary. Each day has a video report and links for tickets, twiter and facebook updates. Very nice.

In a nutshell the Leopards went off campus for their first week to "Camp Confidential" apparently its a coast guard base. That allowed them to keep practices closed. Now they are back ready to face the world.

If you insist on being ignorant, at least try and be smart about it. Heres a quote from another thread on this board. BisonGuy had my back with ignorance like yours. Thans BG.

In all fairness to JBB, he was never perma-banned from Bisonville although I believe he had a couple time-outs. I believe he asked for his account to be deleted after Bisonsports.net started up.
They are actually reading this one and taking the themes over there. There are some new contributions and some folks are even backing off their original 40s to <10 scores. Some arent. The important thing is that a pipeline on a national board like this one be kept open for the fans of Lafayette and NDSU. Its also a good window for those fans across the nations interested in this game like Squawker, Clenz, AZGrizFan, a slew of MVFC fans and fans from the East Coast, Patriot League, UND, NDSU and schools across the country, all have checked in. Its in the spotlight to be sure and some of the smarter folks are really putting on a show!

Anxious fans will be relieved and happy to see a new BISON Video Blog is up at the Bison Media Blog:

http://www.wday.com/event/article/id/50437/

In a nutshell, passing game is opening up, defense is playing well with a lot of improvement in the Defensive backfield, some injury concerns with at least 4 players on the sidelines or wearing white no contact Jerseys.

The queef, as you in your ignorance call this thread, is a critical pipeline in the exchange of information. All summer long the thread has been providing valuable and critical information not only to the interested fans of both NDSU and Lafayette, but to the nation as well. A spotlight game like this is going to attract all kinds of attention. Some good, some bad, some irrelevant and some down-right ugly. That all comes with the territory. But if you have the intellectual capacity to separate the wheat from the chaff the information about this game the nation is hungry for is all here.

Tonight the IRS was informed that flood conditions have destroyed some of the precious pages, no chapters, of BiSON LORE. It is a huge loss. The final opinion of the appraisers, even after preservation/restoration efforts had been undertaken, was the collection of BISON game Programs dating back to the opening of the Fabulous Fargo Dome and the Sunday Forums following have been lost to the floods. 8-)

From Bison Illustrated:
http://www.bisonillustrated.com/s.php?s=672 wrote:Lafayette is definitely the more challenging of the first two weeks of Bison Football. The season opener for NDSU will almost certainly be in front of a sellout crowd, maximizing the home field advantage. The Leopards focus on a heavy passing attack (throwing the ball 42 times per game in their last home stand of 2010) led by senior quarterback Ryan O'Neil, which will test the NDSU secondary early on in the season.
As you can see these guys are touching on the same points we have been talking about.

The underlying theme for this game and St. Francis is the fact they are warm ups for the Gophers.

Nice to see others starting to admit fette was leading the way for the Eagles. It was a heaven-sent gift for them, you might say.

It was an early morning practice and it ended with Ryan Jastram kicking a 50-yard field goal that hit the upright and bounced in. The senior will be the kicker in the season opener against Lafayette; head coach Craig Bohl said Jastram has won the battle between he and redshirt freshman Adam Keller. “He has been more consistent,” Bohl said of Jastram.
Also:

Cornerback Zach Colvin’s broken fibula will sideline him four to six weeks. It appears NDSU will go with the four cornerback rotation of Marcus Williams, Christian Dudzik, Aireal Boyd and Bryan Shepherd. Bohl said true freshman Jordan Champion has done some good things but for now, he appears destined to redshirt.
Ryan Smith made a couple of outstanding diving catches in a two-minute drill. He and backup quarterback Esley Thorton seem to have a good vibe going.
There is more

I know many of you have had questions about the TV plans for this game. NDSU would have televised it. It is the only game they arent televising except Lafayette has the broadcast rights. They have a very good TV deal and its going to have more households than the BISON Sports Network can provide.

This is going to be an exciting year for BISON fans, but i have found streaming can be just as good as TV. TV is nice.

Not only does national powerhouse Lafayette have the exclusive media rights to broadcast the game which is IN FARGO, but their network reaches more viewers than the BIG TIME Bison Sports Network?

I thought NDSU was a national brand, and this was a game that the eyes of the nation would be on? :dunce:

NDSU is willing to structure the game contracts to existing obligations. I never said this game was going to be on every screen in the nation. I think its a nod to the Leopards that they have such a good media set-up. The fact the game has more coverage than the BISON Network is a nod to their much denser population. The NDSU network will have fewer potential screens but will deliver a much higher percentage making it a powerful marketing force.

Heh, twentysix, #1 fact about Bisonville: Score predictions usually favor NDSU by 5 to 7 TDs pretty much no matter who is on the schedule.

To me, Lafayette appears to be like NDSU was last year (or 2003.) They are a program with a ton of tradition coming off a terrible year. I expect them to play a hard-nosed game with a lot of emotion.

At least there is no chance that NDSU is looking past Lafayette towards the next game.

I think Tony makes a valid point. Lafayette comes in with a scrappy team. Its not a good idea to be arrogant and write them off. They are competitors. A counter game. A school with a proud tradition. Certainly they have to think they have a chance at the playoffs. Its one thing for the fans of another school to call Lafayette a bye week, especially people that already have the reputation of being feckless, but I dont think you are going to see NDSU fans display arrogant disrespect.

You would think some of them would have already learned that lesson having lived through the NDSU defeat back in the final days of NDSU and D2 ball. Maybe we saw some of that attitude and thats what gave the BISON the opening to knock the Grizzlies back on their heels and keep them off balance for the win?

NDSU isnt going to be looking past Lafayette.

I don't need to excuse my behavior. I've never claimed that I wouldn't act a certain way. YOU, on the other hand, have put it in writing, and STILL don't see the hypocrisy in your statement. You see my statement as preposterous....99% of the posters here see it as spot on. You don't see a problem with that?
