Best FCS Stadium Now In Bozeman, MT?

You can't compare the fanbases of the two schools, although when Princeton has good teams they average 15k or so. The Cornell-Princeton game featured two 2-4 teams going nowhere so obviously the enviroment is less than stellar. I would love to see Princeton Stadium for a big game. I have to believe it would be very loud given the combination of a below ground field, upper decks and the exterior wall.

I believe we are arguing which stadium is best. In my mind that includes all of the intangibles. Fanbase, atmosphere, etc.

If we are just talking from a structural point of view, I could agree that Princeton's is nicer on the eyes (at least for now) Although, with my biased opinion, WGS is nicer of course (structurally I mean).

Not to totally derail this thread, but I REALLY miss that kind of football from the Griz. Also, two things come to mind when watching that video:

1) I could watch Chase run over people all day long. Just brutal the way he punishes at the point of attack.
2) TBF showed such flashes of brilliance, but never REALLY achieved his true potential with the Griz....oh what could have been....

We are talking about which STADIUM is best, not who has the best crowd / atmosphere. While Wash Griz is impressive, nothing tops Princeton Stadium at this level: stadium on all four sides, double decked on three sides, great sense of enclosure, and just beautiful modern architecture.

(It really does look like a great stadium, and I'd love to visit it someday. I still wanna graduate there. But I thought you outsiders hated our stuff on principle alone. )

Really glad you pointed this out. Great picture. Was the background on my computer for quite some time. Stadium is right on top of the field. Students are right on top of the opposing team, which makes heckling that much better. Only thing keeping this stadium from being #1 is no endzone seating yet. That's probably 5-7 years from now, which will bring capacity to 30,000. Pressbox stands about 140ft above the field... the lower level goes down to the field (much like a Michigan type of deal), which allows a lot of room for expansion. Ultimate goal is eventually 50-60k... that's a long ways down the road though. Also... Liberty will be adding some nice stuff throughout this season to take it above and beyond any other FCS stadium in the country.
