yeah I realize it might be a little bit difficult to find me but I'll most likely be wearing a blue ODU t-shirt (gotta rep Justin's and I's alma mater ) and probably my charlotte stonecrabs hat...they're the single A affiliate of the Rays. Plus I'm willing to bet half the Trop is gonna be empty anyway like it usually is especially considering its a Monday night game.

He should be a strong MVP candidate. I believe if you take any other MVP candidate off of any other team this season and they probably still be where they are now. If you take Verlander off the Tigers and I think its a very good possibility that they are the ones doing the chasing for a division title. I think JV is single handidly going to win them the division. Anyway, saw a great pitching matchup last night, some pics I took from the game...

actually it was more about $25 per ticket. They do have tickets though that are about $5. Next time if I go to a game and it doesn't involve a player or team I really want to see I'll probably just get those tickets.

After losing a couple to Baltimore, the Twins fans and media are throwing the team,management and front office under the bus. They had a tough season with a lot of injuries, but everyone wants to dismantle the team and start from scratch. They still have a pretty good core of players, just have to ride out the bad times. In 2003 the Tigers lost 119 games, in 2006 they lost the World Series to the Cardinals and have been completitive in the Central ever since.

The Twins should have tried to keep guys like Orlando Hudson and JJ Hardy around. The injuries to Mauer and Morneau really were crushing blows to the Twins' season, but losing to solid veterans like Hudson and Hardy really hurt the team IMO.

Especially considering you essentially replaced them with Nishioka and Casilla who have given them literally nothing this year.

Trust me, he's worth seeing in person. You're talking about the heavy favorite for the Cy Young award and even the MVP award. Seeing him pitch in person is even more impressive. I'll also point out he played at ODU.

1. did the twins get fleeced in dumping Hardy? yes.
2. they still should have moved him - he wouldn't have hit shit at TF this season either
3. Nishioka needs to go back to Chiba - I wanted that little experiment to work - it didn't
4. Injuries were bad - but the real reason the Twins have been so bad this season? no bullpen, and ATROCIOUS defense.
5. they need to rebuild a bit - I still think they should look at putting Mauer at third - but that's me... I loathe Valencia.
6. they desperately need pitching. a real frontline starter... would make a lot of difference.
