UEFA Champions League 2011/2012

Post by Grizalltheway »

Arsenal on the verge of not making it to the group stage, and a new-look Bayern team are poised to play for the title in their home stadium next May. Discuss. :coffee:

Arsenal qualifies. Bayern hosts themselves in Cup Final. Alvin Kayak skips to the highlights, and a "dive" summary for Iniesta.

I'll join in this discussion after the raw this afternoon.

Before Villa-Boas bolted for Chelsea I would have picked Porto as a very real dark horse threat.

BTW, who received Fenerbahce's spot since they were forced to withdraw?

Let me know when they get The Special One back, at which point I MIGHT consider them capable of bothering Barca. :coffee:

I'm not saying VB is going to do anything with Chelsea...they are too damn old now to be a real threat to anyone. He's set up to fail there unless the owner lets him bring him some younger players and eventually get rid of the likes of Drogba, Malouda, Essien, Anelka, Terry, etc. But he could have done some real damage if he had stayed with Porto. Didn't lose a single league match and won the Europa League in his first season there. Meh.

BTW, did you watch Man U destroy Tottenham last weekend? With about half their roster revamped with their new youngin's. Dammit...even with newbies, they are still a damn good team. :ohno:
