Haha, Tony has been on Philly sports radio for over 20 years & makes no bones about his rooting interests. Hot water over those comments? You should hear him on a more regular basis - that's tame stuff.
Tony is a straight up douche at most points during his show. I've heard him hang up on callers mid-sentence, and start screaming at them over the radio, calling them idiots, morons, jackass, etc... all because they made a point that he didn't agree with....even though most of the time that happens they end up being right.
Sounds like Jim Rome....

DBacks are putting up. Giants now 3.5 back and 6 back of the WC. But DBacks still have two more against the Phils and then a 3 game set with Atlanta. Brewers are on the verge of locking up the Central. Taking 4 of 6 from the Cards in the last two weeks has really put them in the drivers seat. They have a VERY favorable schedule through the end of the season.

What happened to the Angels? Rangers now 6 games up?? Indians and White Sox won't go away.

Yanks, Red Sox, Phils and Braves all seem to be shoe-ins at this points.

If Dbacks can win 4 of the next 9 on this road trip, I like their chances. But still have 6 left against the Giants, so anything can still happen.

Actually a pretty good comparison, but Jim Rome is actually a great interviewer. Bruno sucks at is all.

Rome also lets his callers, when he takes them, talk until they either suck and need to be cut, or finish their point. Burno let's the guy get a half a sentence in, then cuts him off and talks about whatever he wants - even though it has nothing to do with the call.

AL, Red Sox and Yankees are already in. Nobody really wants to win the Central, and shocker the Rangers and Angels are battling it out for the West. MLB really needs to do something about a four team division. Is there any way it's not the Sox and Yankees in the ALCS? I'm not complaining, I actually enjoy that rivalry as a neutral third party. It's good for baseball IMO.

If I had to lay money at this point, the playoffs would be:

Phils-Brewers
Giants-Braves

Red Sox-Tigers
Yankees - Angels
Looks good, Lincelcum gets hot in the late season to take the Giants to the playoffs again.

Why don't they allow the #1 team to choose who they want to play in the DS?
