Ouch.

We just pulled a UW. Came out flat and uninspired, and USD was fired up and gave us everything they had. Hats off to the Coyotes... they were definitely the better team today.

Everyone knew they would be a passing team this year but...wow. They have a couple of O-linemen out so that could be a factor.

This is very true, but 11 yards!? They had more than 100 yards in the semis & finals without Taiwan. That's a huge drop off

Didn't pressure? No, they couldn't get pressure. We took their All-Star DT and big speedy DEs out of the game by 3-step-drops all game with quick slants and curls. When they did get pressure BLM rolled out and made some great throws downfield. Two of his TD passes were on 3rd and long and 4th and long where he had to roll out and throw on the run. They sacked him once, in 69 drop backs. We sacked their QB 3 three times in only 25 drop backs.

The rushing game will be fine. I like our chances at getting over 100 yards on the ground against USD, with 300 or so passing. :thumb:
Nope, I dvr'd it and have watched it a couple of times, just to see what happened, UW rushed 4 all day with a few exceptions, anytime somebody got close to billy bobs face, he heaved it as far as he could. The only real run play you have is a draw

Oh, what happened to Renard Williams, 1 asst. tackle all day and he was NOT regularly double teamed, I said it would be interesting to see what happened there when Jolly was not there to take up 2 guys.

Just wanted to bump this for se174's benifit, WTF 11 yards rushing :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

C'mon man, you guys are making the BSC look bad,

Good point. 11 yards rushing wont win any games in the Big Skyi/Missouri Valley.

This will be a fun game, crushing one of the the Dakota Little 3. They can't hang with the Big Sky, hence why they opted for a weaker conference in the MVFC. Good for them though. Good for them. :thumb:

Yep, you betcha

Dakota Big 3! It was a thrilling game. I missed a few minutes at the start and it was 14-0 when I tuned in. EWU played from behind all day but the factors I pointed out earlier came into play limiting the effectiveness of the EWU offense.

screaming beagle74

The reason why we were predominantly a passing team through ONE GAME has already been explained to you JBB. But, given your mental inadequacies, I will make a futile effort to educate you once again. Are you ready for it? We didn't try to run the ball. There you go. When we make running the ball a point of emphasis this weekend, you will choke on your words.

 11 yds this time on 19 attempts!

Well, thats a wrap on this one. As one of the foremost prognosticators in the FCS I have to say I wasnt surprised. Now, with the Eagles fading into the west and the spotlight shinning on USD attentions will start to turn toward next week.

Having brought glory to themselves and the Dakota Big 3 The Yotes are standing tall! Its another legendary day in the Dakota Dome. A great venue.

Dont fret about the score, for the EWU fans there is so much more they can take away from this. What a thrill it must have been for the kids from Chenney to travel all the way back east, see some of the sights, get a chance to play in a Dome, play an actual Dakota Big 3 member not a wanna be, fly on a plane and eat at a restaurant. It was probably the thrill of a lifetime!

Theres always next week guys! Chin up.

JBB isnt banned@BV. I can join any time I want.

This was a big win for USD Lakes. They looked good. EWU even got a tremendous advantage from the refs too! The local announcers were raising eyebrows at a lot of the calls that seemed to go on endlessly in favor of EWU. They really kept the game close. If the refs had stayed out of it the game would have been over much sooner.

I guess we will have to see which direction these teams go from here. Im a little more optimistic about USD I guess.

I dont think USD will make the playoffs. They have to travel a lot.

I think EWU needs an at large and if they get it will travel to Fargo because they cant afford to outbid NDSU.
