That is EXACTLY what I was thinking when I watched Overbay stroke that 2-run triple in the top of the 9th....in fact I texted dbackjon and said I am SOOOOO going to pile on when I get back from the bar!!

In contrast, DJH's mancrush Joe Mauer is 1/4/6 and has gone 16/52 in that same timeframe...and his team has gone 6-8.

Joe Mauer has 1 career HR at Target Field. He is batting 3rd in the Twins lineup with 1 HR for the season. When Mauer was out, at least Cuddyer would hit a HR in the 3 spot, evey once in a while. Once Mauer cameback from injury, the Twins pennant hopes sailed downstream. It's not looking good when you have to compare Upton to Mauer, Mauer isn't even in the same league this season.

In 10 games with the D-Backs, Overbay is hitting .310 with 1 HR, 8 RBI, and playing a stellar 1B when spotting our rookie phenom Goldschmidt.
