Not at all. I think the EWU players were probably frustrated and that the USD kids played into that frustration with a few choice words. Stupid mistake by Mario and I am glad he was suspended because that kind of shit should never be tolerated no matter what was said.

Its a shame it had to end that way. I can understand the frustration of the EWU players facing their second loss and this one considered by most to be an upset. Sure some of those young men are going to get out of control a bit but to lose composure to the point of demerit is really a shame. To see so many players from the same team aggresively excercising poor sportsmanship is also a shame. You would hope after the experience gained last year that a national championship caliber team would be able to control themselves no matter what the situation.

I think the problems at the end are more for EWU to deal with not USD. Those problems shouldn't overshadow the great win USD now enjoys. Why take anything away from their day because one of the EWU players had to be punished?

Congratualations, and Congratulations to the NDSU BISON for winning the Dakota Big 3 by beating both USD and SDSU in football last season. The best football team in the Dakotas is now at NDSU!!

Because EWU has modest facilities by any measure, its unlikely they will be able to bid successfully for a home game. The big gun in the Bidding around here will be NDSU and Montana. NDSU is about the only school that can afford to out bid them too.

I was taling about out-bidding western. The western schools dont have any advantage over NDSU in the bidding. They are going to have to bid beyond the capacity of their stadiums to get a game away from NDSU.

I don't think you really understand how the bid process works, its not like you just throw a number out, its a form that you fill out and includes things like expected number of tickets sold, cost of tickets, operations expenses ect .....

While you can fudge the numbers some, you need to have a basis for the numbers that you do put in since they also ask what attendance you have during the regular season and what you charge for tickets then. It is designed so that you cant buy your way to a home game without real income to support your bid since that is the income that the NCAA actually recieves. Teams like um and App have enough attendance that they are almost assured of having the highest bids.

I cant find it any more but a few years back the bid package was available for download on the NCAA's site.

Of course if NDSU was ag good as you think they would get a seed and have homefield until going up against a higher seed, but I doubt that will happen
