Just make sure Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Scar, and the rest of the ODU Lion King bunch practice their, "it was a learning experience, we'll review the film, try and regroup for next week" lines for the postgame softballs that Hampton Roads will be tossing them.

We had about 700 at GSU, I do think the early starts are a killer. Maybe 800, we have some in state games that are easier road trips, you don't have to pay a toll.

Newark is closer to Norfolk than Atlanta is and that was a noon start as well. I expect us to have a pretty good turnout. I guess we'll have about 1,000 or whatever the CAA allotment is for opposing teams.

So when Hampton beat JMU 8 or 9 years ago, how embarrassing was that for you? We've beaten them two years in a row, home and away. That's good enough for me.

ODU is the future........Delaware is the past. We will eventually dominate Delaware in football the way we dominate them in just about every other athletic team that we field........football will be no different.

They can enjoy trash talking a first year CAA program in its third year of existence......it only further shows how scared they are of us eventually coming for them.

The 757 produces as much talent as any area in the country outside of Florida or California.......we have a pipeline to greatness in our own back yard.

I don't think we win this one simply because its just not our time yet. With that said, we will absolutely put up points on them and make it competitive. But man, if we somehow win this game, some of the geezers in the stands in BFE, I mean Delaware may need to have the defibrillators busted out for them because the new kid on the block took them to school.

Let them talk their sh*t now while they can because soon enough we will treat them the way we do in basketball.........by laughing at their inferiority and looking around for even 1 Delaware fan who has the b*lls to say something.

Ever seen the UD boards during basketball season? They make a ghost town look like Las Vegas before a title fight.

Cheers to catching feelings over a few jokes. Sometimes my sister-in-law does the same thing when she has a hard time fitting into her jeans.

I think one thing ODU fans are discounting in their self proclaimed climb to the top of the CAA is that it actually requires good coaching to be a success in this league. Thus far we've seen Bobby Wilder outcoach absolutely nobody of any measure. His team is 20-5 versus absolutely NOBODY. Your staff has a track record of nothing. The trajectory of ODU football your program is based upon beating the Campbell Camels. At this point it's a house of cards. Success in football, even at this level is fleeting.

We've been down this recruiting road before, and of course you're wrong. Your 'pipeline to greatness' is like any other good recruiting ground in the country. Quit reading the group think in the newspapers in Hampton Roads and get a subscription to Rivals. Nevermind the talent in Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Maryland/DC, or even Richmond.

Catching feelings......that's funny. Like I give a flying rat turd about what a bunch of Delaware nobodies thinks. Too funny.

And yeah, you are totally right, the 757 doesn't produce any good football players. Nevermind that we are the only game in town and that while tech and UVA will most likely take the top 5% athletes, odu will have more than enough of the very talented "leftovers" to field very competitive teams for years to come.

Hell I look around the college football landscape and see top 757 players all over the place. Phillip sims was the number 1 overall recruit and playing qb for Alabama as a redshirt freshman. Taj Boyd is starting as a sophmore for a ranked Clemson team. Ej Manuel is Florida states starting qb. Last year tyrod Taylor led va tech to a top 10 finish. Those are just some of the qb's, I'd be here all day listing position players. Then you look at some of the all time greats and gamechangers that are from this area.......Lawrence Taylor, Bruce smith, mike vick..I could be here all night.

While obviously odu isn't going to get those huge name guys, if you don't think we will still be pulling a ton of talent out of our own backyard you are nuts.

Like I said, we will see this weekend just exactly how far behind Delaware we are if at all. But if you guys DON'T bury us in our first game ever in the caa (which is on the road at arguably the best team in the caa this year), you will be in big time trouble in the future when we finally settle into the conference.
