8 pm EST tonight. This is a dream matchup between powers from the top two producers of NFL talent.

Could I ever be a star?

Gaffney High School (SC) is better than both of them this year I'm afraid

Interesting. Game is coming on now and they just said De La Salle is on a 28 game winning streak and that the last game they lost was on ESPN air vs. Lakeland, FL. .

Kickoff time.

My cousin, who is a sophomore at FSU this year, played football at St. Thomas Aquinas. :notworthy:

Well, 30-6 St. Thomas Aquinas. Score kind of inflated by 4 De La Salle turnovers but no question as to which team had the better athletes overall. Also read this morning that De La Salle is now 0-2 against Florida teams. Kind of makes one wonder if they'd have ever gotten that record winning streak if they'd been playinig Florida's level of competition.

One thing I didn't like was Aquinas kicking a short field goal with 12 seconds left to move the score from 27-6 to 30-6 instead of just running the ball or taking a knee. It was 4th down so they'd have turned to ball over to De La Salle but there would've been about 10 seconds left and De La Salle would've been deep in its own territory. Just don't see any reason to kick a field goal at that point. Makes it look like they just wanted to make ths core look more impressive by breaking the 30 mark.

I watched Aquinas play Prattsville Alabama earlier this season in a very close, competetive game. I think Prattsville matched up a lot better with Aquinas athletically than De La Salle did. De La Salle did move the ball though and played tough defense. It would've been a pretty interesting game without the turnovers.
