A manager about to be traded - Ozzie gets his wish - and as a Twins fan, I'm saddened - Ozzie had a huge mental block when it came to the Twins over the years - he'll be missed.

interesting - White Sox saying (per Hawk Harrelson on tv) that Guillen has been "released from his contract"

The way I understand it from Yahoo!, TTBF is correct. The only thing about Miami is a prior rejection of a deal that would have released Guillen to go to Miami about a year or so ago. The only thing official now is that the ChiSox rejected his request for an extension and then accepted his follow-on request for release. Why a flat-out resignation didn't come or why he's not finishing out the season is beyond me.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Guillen is an overrated azzhole who wore out his welcome in Chicago anyway. He and the Fish deserve each other.

Reports are that the White Sox will get two minor league prospects as compensation from the Marlins.
