Well, D-Backs took 2 of 3 from them there in July, then split a 4-game series at Chase field later that month....I like Kennedy over Gallardo in game one....Kennedy has just been unbeatable, going 13-1 in his last 15 starts.

Regarding the pitching matchup:

Gallardo, who went 10-2 with a 3.00 ERA at home this year, scored two of his victories this season against the D-backs, allowing one run on four hits each time. The 25-year-old will be pitching on seven days' rest, but threw a simulated game Tuesday to beef up his between-starts regimen.

"He wants the ball, and he doesn't care who it's against or what the circumstances are," pitching coach Rick Kranitz said of Gallardo. "He wants the ball in his hand."

On July 21, Kennedy threw seven shutout innings at home against the Brewers for a victory in a four-game series the teams split. In that start, he struck out Fielder twice but allowed Braun a double, one of just four hits against him, and the only one for extra bases.

Should be a low scoring pitchers duel.

Matt Williams killed the Dbacks in the 1st. Galliardo hadn't settled in, and gives up a couple hits. Williams kills the rally by stupidly sending the runner from third, out by a mile.
