Sounds like a good line. I wouldn't touch it.bluehenbillk wrote:UD is listed as a 5 point favorite per 5 Dimes.
I like UD minus the points, in that case. Now if it was a 7 or 8-point spread, maybe not.93henfan wrote:Sounds like a good line. I wouldn't touch it.bluehenbillk wrote:UD is listed as a 5 point favorite per 5 Dimes.
Man, I will tell you. ODU fans are like a STD, you can shower all day & apply whatever shampoo or cream the doctor tells you & they won't go away. Last time I looked: 1) UD won by double figures, while 2) having to settle for a school record 6 FG attempts in the game , and 3) yes, son the play was holding, I was there & saw the play - I know football is new at ODU so maybe you could get a clue with what the rules are.MonarchMan wrote:Did you Delaware fans even see the game. I DID. I can tell you that we were ahead with 9 minutes left in the game. We had a touchdown called back due to your refs calling phantom holding call. I replayed the came on TV when I got home and let me tell you, not holding. I can truly say that ODU could have EASILY won that game.
You can bank on losin next year's game in Norfolk. Hey and I saw what you guys said about Virgnia. Is that why all you Yankees like to move here? Just wondering....
So bring your BIG BOY BRITCHES to ODU and let's see where they are when you leave.
I love it though, because it sounds like the bully in town not realizing that theres a bigger boy moving to the block.
Well hello there new guy! Quite a ballclub ya got there in Norfolk - a great addition to the CAA. One hint, in the CAA (Delaware, William & Mary, etc.), unlike whereever daButterflies apparently used to play, we play football for 60 minutes...MonarchMan wrote:Did you Delaware fans even see the game. heh, ODU's still winless in the CAA.MonarchMan wrote:Did you Delaware fans even see the game. I DID. I can tell you that we were ahead with 9 minutes left in the game. West Chester scored more points against UD on offense. Pretty evenly matched with ODU on defense. That'd probably be a pretty good game, with my edge going to WCU. Even in Norfolk.MonarchMan wrote:Did you Delaware fans even see the game. I DID. I can tell you that we were ahead with 9 minutes left in the game. It's tough to score when the refs call back your touchdowns and let the other team get away with murder (you didn't have a single holding penalty called all game despite our defensive line dominating your vaunted offensive line).00bluehen wrote:West Chester scored more points against UD on offense. If ODU coulda easily won that game, why didn't they? The refs? Do you even watch CAA basketball games?
So happy to be done with the "tuneup" portion of our schedule. Bring on the real games! Maine's gonna be tough...nice weather up here this weekend, if the rain gets outta here.
I do? Thats news to me! We have a nicer stadium, we have a much nicer practice facility, we have a much better athletic program, we have an NCAA tourney calibur basketball team and the nicest basketball arena in the CAA, we have a pipeline to FBS talent in our own backyard, we took you guys to the wire in our very first freaking CAA game (on the road no less) and, oh yeah, we don't live in the freaking dump of a state known as Delaware, a national joke just like its favored son Joe Biden.93henfan wrote:Razor has henis envy. I'll take you up on that action, we'll discuss it next season. Right now, we're trying to figure out our way to the playoffs, something you wouldn't comprehend. Stick to the ODU threads - your penis envy is showing.ODUfanRazor wrote: We win in Norfolk next year, no doubt about it and I am willing to make any bets you want to put my money where my mouth is.
You lost little man. Let that sink in.ODUfanRazor wrote:I do? Thats news to me! I wasn't kidding when I said we will soon be beating Delaware on a consistent basis, the only thing that's changed is that after our last game, the time table on that happening has moved up quite a bit and it will be much sooner rather than later that we are consistently owning UD in football just like we do in EVERY OTHER MAJOR SPORT WE FIELD!!!!
somehow I'm sure you'll find the time...ODUfanRazor wrote:...
nah, that would be a waste of time.

Blame the refs. How original. You do understand that the penalty in question is what allowed your QB to spring for that run, right? Your front 7 (linebackers included) sold out against the run and dominated our OLine at the LOS. You limited rushing gains. You had zero pass rush. None. Maybe one hurry caused by a WR running the wrong route. Tim Donnelly forgets what the FieldTurf feels like (even West Chester sacked him...hell, DelState sacked him TWICE!).ODUfanRazor wrote:It's tough to score when the refs call back your touchdowns and let the other team get away with murder (you didn't have a single holding penalty called all game despite our defensive line dominating your vaunted offensive line)
Thanks, but it's just another win. I remember when Albany was actually able to beat us in Delaware Stadium, something your team failed to do. Hell, I remember when Coastal Carolina was able to actually beat defending national champion JMU in THEIR 3rd year of existance, so your "we played you tough" comment is pretty pathetic. I was proud that a sub-par UD team (by our standards) was able to give a 50% maximal effort and still hang a double-digit win on a team that was playing their Super Bowl. Otherwise, I really don't feel any prouder about this than I did about beating URI in Newark last year (now THAT was a team that played us tough at home...when we were a better team. They actually had an offense).ODUfanRazor wrote:Regardless, you barely escaped at home against a team in its third year of existence......congrats!!! Must make you real proud that you've been playing football for how long and you could still barely beat us!
The "maybe next year?" invocation after one game?!? Wow. I'll take your advice on one thing--I won't worry about Old Dominion anymore. UD has a real game to play this weekend.ODUfanRazor wrote:We win in Norfolk next year, no doubt about it and I am willing to make any bets you want to put my money where my mouth is. I'll second that. Told the wife the same thing. Worst than going to Villanova in Chester. Even with all the new facilities you can't put lipstick on a pig and make it pretty.93henfan wrote:I'll be in Norfolk next year, as long as it's a day game. There's no way I venture into that ghetto at night.
Worse than going to Chester? That may be a little bit of an exaggeration since Chester perrenially is in the ten worst cities in America for crime.cougarpines1 wrote:I'll second that.
