Kyle Lohse & Edwin Jackson vs Roy Hallday & Cliff Lee!?!
Well, we better sure as hell not lose either of the first two because he's got Carpenter and Garcia in 3 and 4.
We lose either of the first two games and I think this goes five. As it stands, I think Oswalt beats Garcia for the series in game four. I'm not sure Hamels' arm is 100% yet. He's looked better than early September, but still not dominating yet. He loses to Carpenter.

How could we forget - the Phils lost the opener and then won the second game, which clinched the division title. The Phils then spent the next two days trying to get the champagne smell out of their uniforms and lockers. Phils didn't start playing baseball again until the full lineup was together for the last game of the Mets series at least a week later. And we've seen how the Phils have played since then. Don't get too caught up in how the Phils played for a week after they clinched - it was like Spring Training all over again.

Keep believing that if you like.

Talk to me 3 games from now when the Phils are getting ready to see who they play in the next round and tell me how important that series was a few weeks ago.

Seriously, man, think of all those posts I had dissing DSU and look where that got you for rooting for them when they played UD. This will be the baseball version of that. Bring on the Hornets/Cardinals.

Keep disbelieving it if you like. Even Albert Pujols recognized that the Philly team the Cards will play in the playoffs will be far different than the one they played a few weeks ago.

10 wins to a parade.
yep, STILL 10 wins to a parade.
I knew early on that Lee was not on. I'm surpised that the Phils lost after being up 4-0, but Lee was clearly not in shut down mode, way too many pitches and base runners.

OK, discount that series and the Cardinals still have a winning record against the Phucktards this year.

1 - 1 in the only games that really count.
The 1983 Dodgers went 11-1 against the Phils in the regular season and 1-3 in the post season. The regular season series means squat right now.

Not worried here - this was always going to end in St. Louis for the Cards. This isn't coming back to Philly - Howard loves hitting in his hometown. Make sure to watch us against the Brewers next series.
