Provided someone doesn't f'ck up and schedule a wedding, I'll definitely be there. I'm less concerned about the taxpayers of fair Norfolk than the humorless chromosomal mutant that's giving their competitively friendly fans a bad rep.

Says the guy who works at a liquor store........in Delaware......who was so insecure he felt the need to talk trash to fans of a team that has only had football for 2 plus years.

 Blame the refs. How original. You do understand that the penalty in question is what allowed your QB to spring for that run, right? Your front 7 (linebackers included) sold out against the run and dominated our OLine at the LOS. You limited rushing gains. You had zero pass rush. None. Maybe one hurry caused by a WR running the wrong route. Tim Donnelly forgets what the FieldTurf feels like (even West Chester sacked him...hell, DelState sacked him TWICE!).
ODUfanRazor wrote:Regardless, you barely escaped at home against a team in its third year of existence......congrats!!! Must make you real proud that you've been playing football for how long and you could still barely beat us!
Thanks, but it's just another win. I remember when Albany was actually able to beat us in Delaware Stadium, something your team failed to do. Hell, I remember when Coastal Carolina was able to actually beat defending national champion JMU in THEIR 3rd year of existance, so your "we played you tough" comment is pretty pathetic. I was proud that a sub-par UD team (by our standards) was able to give a 50% maximal effort and still hang a double-digit win on a team that was playing their Super Bowl. Otherwise, I really don't feel any prouder about this than I did about beating URI in Newark last year (now THAT was a team that played us tough at home...when we were a better team. They actually had an offense).
ODUfanRazor wrote:We win in Norfolk next year, no doubt about it and I am willing to make any bets you want to put my money where my mouth is. Will you ladies do the same? Doubtful.
The "maybe next year?" invocation after one game?!? Wow. I'll take your advice on one thing--I won't worry about Old Dominion anymore. UD has a real game to play this weekend.
ODU fans and coaches alike have reviewed the game film. The player they called the hold on, was NOT holding. The touchdown would have counted. I don't think it would have changed the outcome and you still outplayed us and deserved the win. How's that for "blaming the refs"? lol

As for your statement that you have a "real game" to play this weekend, why don't you ask that all american RB that we heard soooooooooooo much about how he felt getting his ass kicked all day and eventually having to pull himself out of the game because he was tired of getting popped. Ask him whether or not he thinks he was in a "real game".

ODU's campus is absolutely fine. If you stray 4 or 5 blocks however, yeah, you could get in trouble lol.

But yeah I understand your point. Delaware is much safer......because all the criminals up there are too busy robbing pharmacies for oxycontin and sudafed so they can get their meth and painkiller addictions fed and aren't busy shooting people like they are down here lol.

Must be nice.

Yup, not only do I live in Delaware, but I work for a liquor store.

You've got everything, and nothing, figured out. It's really quite impressive. Why don't you do yourself a favor and fall in line with the rest of the ODU fans that seem to have been able to maturely negotiate their internet access.

Side bonus to purchasing the Maine feed... you can hear Walt Abbott and George Hale wheeze their way to a record for "oldest combined age in a two man broadcasting booth." Bonus: they get confused by the new rule allowing the forward pass.

They are good for at least 20-25 misidentifications of players per game because they can't see the field through their cataracts.

So you're saying they're probably still better than the Delaware broadcast team?

There's a reason I keep my season tickets and travel when possible.

Its amazing how much crap arrogant Delaware fans talk... Good thing you love a falling team and a crappy state.

Yeah, tier 2 us to death, but an odu degree got me a full ride at UVA, and has resulted in a solid engineering career. ODU has served Hampton Roads students for years and clearly should have been called a community college. But things are changing... We are developing into a national university.

And to comment about Norfolk being dangerous. Haha. Norfolk is the center city of a metro area that has continually been rated as one of the best places to live. Va Bch was rated #8 recently. And the crime index in Norfolk has ranged from 400-450 in the past 10 years. Wilmington has exceeded 800 every year and even little 30k population Newark has ranged from 275-350. Every metric I have read indicates that Del has one of the lowest resident satisfaction scores. I have a good friend who lives just east of Newark and can't wait to get out.

So you Del fans keep ripping ODU. We will continue to dominate you in every sport other than football, and that should change sometime in the near future. We'll keep funding our programs without any direct university money and keep progressing from a small local college into a strong national university.

Peace.

Good Lord - just how big of an inferiority complex do you guys have? You had a great win over UMass, discovered your long term solution at QB, and have a great shot at continued success in the CAA. Smile, relax, and enjoy!

No inferiority complex here... Hey, I've only posted 17 times. It just makes ODU look bad in the eyes of potential recruits when others perpetuate inaccuracies. If someone called your sister ugly time and time again, you'd be a pussy if you didn't defend her.

-Pierce is banged up
-Maine is coming off bye week so Cosgrove has had 2 weeks to get them ready.
-Game is @ Maine, New England road game for UD.
-Maine raced out to a 28-0 lead over Bryant and 24-0 leads over Albany so those games weren't as close as they appeared (course neither was Maine's loss @ Pitt as Maine was down 35-15 middle of the 4th before getting 2 late TDs).
-Maine's QB Warren Smith in 3 games has completed 64% of his passes, thrown 5 TDs with 0 INTs and 0 fumbles.
-Maine has only turned the ball over ONE TIME in 3 games and is + 4 in TOs (lost one fumbles, has gotten 5 picks, 0 fumbles)
-Maine has a TB avg almost 100 yds per game, & looks like they have some balance on offense.
Call me Nostradamus....Congrats to Maine. Sets up a big showdown in Streamersburg next Sat for at least a share of 1st place in the CAA.

Outside of Nova (and I guess JMU) this might be the worst team for UD to lose to. I think MaineJeff will become unbearable for UD fans for the next year..
