First you predicted a sweep. Then you predicted the Phucktards would finish off the Cardinals in St. Louis. It looks like your crystal ball has a crack in it. Oh wait, that isn't a crystal ball. It's 93henfan's ass.GannonFan wrote:Really - you're going to be one of those bitter fans who doesn't watch the rest of the playoffs once his team is eliminated? There there.CitadelGrad wrote:
The next game? Are you talking about the game in St. Louis on Tuesday or the 2012 home opener in Philly?

The Phils got Halladay for games like Friday night. They won 102 games this year to play this game at CBP. They've seen & hit Carpenter already & with Halladay pitching, they shouldn't need many runs. Friday night - let's get it on. I wish this wasn't an 8:30pm start - stupid TV.

Playoffs are a whole different animal...nine times out of ten it doesn't matter how games in the regular season went...after all these years you would think Philadelphia fans would realize that by now...

Re: Phillies Parade
Those 102 wins don't mean dick. The Cardinals won more than that in 2004 and had the best record in baseball. They were swept in the WS by the AL wild card team. In 2006 the Cardinals were the wild card team and beat the best regular season AL team 4-1 in the WS.bluehenbillk wrote:The Phils got Halladay for games like Friday night. So are you not going to be here after Friday? Again, feel free to post here while watching the Brewers/Phils in the NLCS. I seem to remember you predicting the Cards would finish off the Phils in the NLDS in St. Louis so apparently you don't self-analyze much. Not shocking, I mean, you went to the Citadel.CitadelGrad wrote:Because that's when it became clear that Gannon doesn't have any idea what the **** he's talking about.89Hen wrote: Why is it that you only post after a Cards win?

You're right, the 102 wins don't mean dick. But I find it funny that a few posts ago you were bragging about the Cards winning the regular season series 6-3.CitadelGrad wrote:Those 102 wins don't mean dick. I'm pulling for the Cards tonight, but in 2006 the Tigers were the AL wild card.

This team has seen it all over the past few seasons - they'll be on tonight.

Re: Phillies Parade
Just a disaster of a first inning for Doc. Very fortunate to get out of it with just one run. 32 pitches though.

Re: Phillies Parade
They are really bringing the suck right now. Sorry to say, this is exactly what I expected.
Bad at bats, runners getting thrown out, Halladay with his typical bad 1st inning. The Phillies are one of the stupidest teams in baseball.
The first pitch they threw Howard tonight almost hit him in the ankle, and he swung at it.
He must close his eyes when he swings. If I were pitching to him I'd never throw him a strike.
I hope I get to eat crow later, but I'm not optimistic.
I'm also hoping for a reverse jinx.

Re: Phillies Parade
Gonna take some late inning heroics to stave off the mega-disappointment that would be the 2011 Phils season if this stays 1-0.

How in the living fuck do you let Howard swing on a 3-0 there? Just terrible.

Maybe with a little luck the Cards will retire the Phils in order the last three innings so that we don't have to see Howard bat again.

Oh well, if the Phils lose I'll just cheer for the Yankees. They are so great I can always count on them to win.
They did beat Detroit last night, right?
