Funny that you mention that. I used to work with a trust-fund kid that played football at Randolph Macon and was just dumber than a horses rear end. Guy struggled academically but got a degree from there - but yea, I've heard from more than one source it's not an institution of academic excellence.

He went on to get his doctorate from UVA by 14. He probably picked UVA because they have piss poor academics too......if only he had known UD existed, what with all it's Jersey trash and STD's? First of all, I went to a college that had lacrosse.....Randolph Macon. I watched it, it was boring, only rich white kids play it.....period.

Jim brown was good at lacrosse because he was about a 1000 times better athlete than anyone he was playing against lol.

No one outside of wealthy white northerners plays lacrosse.

I grew up in a wealthier section of va beach (one of the nicer areas in the country) and only 1 school had lacrosse and it was an afterschool club sport, not a sponsored school sport.

I played football and basketball for my high school. If anyone had suggested we play lacrosse they would have been laughed out of the gym.

This is really getting hilarious. I'm not rich......I am from a wealthier section of Virginia Beach.....that doesn't mean that I myself am wealthy. My dad was a college professor at ODU, he did alright but he isn't exactly a jet setter.

Secondly, I've seen lacrosse played......I've watched it on tv and watched it in person. It's simply not entertaining. They toss the ball around for 3 or 4 minutes in circles, sometimes back and forth until someone makes a cut to the goal. It's barely physical at all.

I played TE and LB in high school. I also was a small forward on my high school basketball team at kempsville high. I've played plenty of physical sports and quite frankly, lacrosse isn't even in the same ballpark.

You all sound like a bunch of crybabies trying to convince me that its a real sport. Sorry, it's a fact, only rich white people play it. All the good teams are in the northeast. Maybe a few club teams out in the sticks play it, but again, its only white kids.

You ladies can try and convince yourselves all you want of how manly and tough it is but real athletes laugh at lacrosse the same way they laugh at soccer and badminton. You won't change my mind on this so please just stop trying. You are girly women who have nothing to be ashamed of, you just picked a sport for fairies, probably because you weren't talented enough to play a real sport.

It is what it is. The odu "fan" who is trying to bag on me is no different. He's trying really hard to fit in with you ladies so do your best to let him into the girls club. I grew up with plenty of "advantages". I went to Randolph macon before I went to ODU. It's a private school in Virginia that runs about 30k a year. I'm not sure anyone in the entire white trash state of Delaware could afford to go there.

Also, all the lacrosse players I met at RMC were exactly as I described, preppy white upper class douchebags who were scared to play real sports with real men (especially african americans as most all of them were rich white racists from, shockingly, the NORTH). So they ran around in their little shorts with pads on (like they really needed them????) with their little sticks and played that embarrassing ass sport. They actually thought they were tough!!! There wasn't a single tough kid among them!


Finally, I don't play soccer. I also think soccer is a wussy sport. I just think its more manly than your pussy ass lacrosse. The fact that you didn't pick up on that lets me know that YOU were the slow kid in class. The one every made fun of behind his back but was really nice too to his face because he was "special".

And trust me, when I come up North I have to beat the women off with a stick. They are so happy to finally see a real man and not the little limped dick, northern pussy boys who actually think lacrosse is a manly sport that they are normally stuck with, that they quite literally throw their panties at me in an attempt to get my attention. But honestly, most of them look like your mom and sister so I have to immediately turn away before I am forever turned into a stone pillar. I honestly don't know how you guys deal with it. I knew the north had ugly women but god damn, your 10's wouldn't even be 5's in the south. No wonder there are so many gays up north! After looking at those beasts for so many years growing up men probably start looking pretty good after a while, especially if they are in their cute little lacrosse shorts.

I'm not a soccer lover donkey.....I support ODU....and all it's sports. I've made similar threads for other, even somehow less manly sports. I've also made threads for wrestling and I made a thread immediately before about the men's basketball game against Mizzou this winter.

I don't freaking play soccer. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't support ODU's nationally ranked soccer team (which worked VCU 4-0 tonight). I want people to come out and support our school. It's sad that you wouldn't support your school because you don't think a sport is manly enough.

I'm bagging on lacrosse but if ODU had a lacrosse team, I'd support them and hope they did well just like I do every sport. It still doesn't mean I'd be caught did playing a sissy sport like soccer or lacrosse.
