Hats off to Carpenter. Dude is making the Phils look like chumps, when they aren't doing it themselves of course.

No, I haven't given up. But I did predict a 1-0 loss yesterday, although I thought it would be in 10 innings.

Well, you got the gem from Halladay - 8 innings and just the one run, with a macho finish to the top of the 8th. The lack of bats is the story.

I'd tip my hat to Carpenter for tonight if I hadn't already seen a mediocre Cards bullpen and much lesser pitchers already do the same thing to the Phils already this series. The Phils have that amazing ability to all go into batting funks at the same time. It would be nice if they could come out of it before they get three more outs.

Congrats to the Cards. Just like last year, when the Phils lost ot the Giants, the better team won. When the Phils lost game 2, after being up 4-0, I thought they were in trouble.
