I'm not counting my chickens before they're hatched, unlike Philthy phans. You clowns have done nothing but talk about how you'll match up against the Yankees in the WS. Yankees gone. Oh, we know, you're going to wait until everything is decided and then you're going to talk. I mean, that's what pussies do so we figured that was your MO all along. Yeah, we stuck out necks out and discussed our hopes for the Phils. You played it safe and hid under a rock. If that's what they teach you at the Citadel it must be a really lame school school.CitadelGrad wrote:I'm not counting my chickens before they're hatched, unlike Philthy phans. It's the same mound on which Steve Carlton began his major league career.93henfan wrote:Bob Gibson was a hack pitching off of a two foot mound.

Thanks for responding. Tellls me I struck a nerve. Nice job recognizing that you wouldn't have been able to cut it at West Point. It takes a big man to recognize that he's not up to a challenge.CitadelGrad wrote:Didn't apply to VMI. Was nominated to WP but withdrew my application when I decided to go to The Citadel. Posting only after wins doesn't say much for his character, but it does explain why he wasn't West Point material.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:CitadelGrad - becoming the JBB of Cardinal baseball? (be just a little humble when your squad wins dude... just a little)

Agreed (assuming that you'd be accepted). We don't hide under rocks until the coast is clear at UD.CitadelGrad wrote:Yeah, I suppose I'd have gone to Delaware if I had wanted a real challenge.BlueHen86 wrote:

Season was a failure, no argument possible.
2012 - will be a little different look: Gone are Oswalt, Ibanez & Lidge. May be back, may be gone are Madson & Rollins.

They are right though. A 4-0 lead should hold up. Not blaming Lee entirely, the Phils didn't have to stop scoring after the 2nd inning.DSUrocks07 wrote:Local sports radio personalities are now claiming that the series was lost in Game 2. Throwing Cliff Lee under the bus
Game 2 was an off night for Lee, but I can't really fault the starting pitching, they did their job. It was the spotty offense that doomed the Phils.
