The big difference between the Phillies and Eagles, at least to me, is that the Phillies never annointed themselves as a dream team. It was the fans who had unrealistic expectations as to how easy the playoffs would be. Anyone who knows baseball knows that the playoffs are more about who's hot and less about who's better. Many Phillies fans forgot about that.
It was an Eagles player that said "Dream Team", without having any idea about team chemstry. As soon as I heard "Dream Team" I knew the Eagles were in trouble.

you should take what he say's with a grain of salt.

But...but...Vince Young is the chosen one. He was referring that with him at the helm that the Birds are truly a "Dream Team". He will of course lead the Eagles to the promise land...because Vick sucks you know?
Good thing you didn't call the thread "Official Eagles Have Their Fourth Loss Already Thread" because then I might have thought you were talking about EWU.
I thought of that when I was creating the thread.
Plus, it's only halftime of the season. Everyone knows the Eagles come back in the 3rd...

You mean someone that can recognize success?
Tell me, exactly how good were the Eagles before Reid came along? How many playoff appearances? How many super bowls had the Eagles won before he came along?
I hope you retards do drive him out of town. Then when the Eagles hire some young punk coach just to please the Philly meat heads, you'll realize how tough it is to win year in and year out.
You sound just like the national media idiots that said the Eagles would pay for trading McNabb. How'd that work out? McNabb was done, Eagle fans and staff knew, but the national media thought they knew better.
Reid has proven that he can field a competitive team, but he has never gotten over the hump. Add to that the same mistakes year after year and it gets old. They never have 3 time outs at the end of the game, they always seem to have problems getting plays in on time and last week was at least the third time I've seem them run out of time at the half and not get a FG because of it (in other words Reid sucks at time management).
I'm okay with him staying, but I understand why people want him out.

The one positive is that this team is going to be so bad the next two or three seasons that they'll have some decent draft picks. Now you just need to hire some people that can make consistently good draft picks in rounds 1 and 2.

One positive just understates this - this is fantastic. We needed a year like this to get Reid to go. A 9-7 year would've just brought him back for one more season, so other than being really good, this is the best other option. Shame Gruden's so comfortable in the booth - I'd love to see him coach this team.
